GTB/B4 rears are 290mm.
I have rear calipers to suit 266mm vented rears. Your rears are solid rotors. Theyre like new and cheap.

the boys have picked up the engine and are soon to collect a gearbox.
al talked me into going with an 8 stud Gen3 RX box, as it's (apparently) equally as strong as the GT-B box that was going to go into it, and has a better feel to the gearchange.
pics of my new motor *grins stupidly*:

as it stands, the total for the engine conversion is looking to be just under $11,500... but that doesn't include a tune, which it needs...

Do it!!!! Tristan, I will personally pay to see a supercharged H6. And good on you for striking out a bit different, I've always wanted to do this conversion, but decided to go for a STi instead. Good luck, hope it all goes well. Is the GEN III RX box auto? As i thought the GX was auto, and switching to manual is a pain in the ass.<whispers> soooopercchaaaargednesssss....

If thy tint is dark and thy wheels are black thou car be declared b11tchin'
So you can run it on 6psi with an rx fuel pump?

all in good time
I can only imagine how nice those pictures are must be in your eyes.....and it'll be Feb in no time
How much longer are you going to be pulling those stupid long hours of work for?
all i can say is that i'm glad i'm wearing loose fitting pants... lol

um, i'm finished the long hours, back in IT now...
but for the few weeks that i worked i should have pretty much doubled my normal pay for that period of time...
so overtime pay = awesome...

Haha, good to hear mate, although I'm getting the new 5-speed Auto box in the STi,(when I finally order it, few postings away unfortunately), with the flappy paddle change at the finger tips, so Auto isn't all bad.
And if you're trying to raise funds to get it payed off quickly.....just deal drugs. Simple as that, fcuk overtime.

Good shizzle Tristan. I was wondering what was going on with this.
So whats gonna be done?
EZ30R
Gen 3 RX Box
Full exhaust
Intake
ECU
Teins (which u already have in dont u?)
Tune
What else? Either way, cars gonna be a sleeper. Leave the front bar AIDS there for extra sleeperness.
EZ30R - check, all 180 (stock) kw
Gen 3 RX Box - check
Full exhaust - not sure yet, but the one that's on it may be sold while it's in Noosa, so probably... going 2.5 mandrel bent... and extractors
Intake - It already has a CAI, which will be mated up to the new engine
ECU - check... all $2500 of it *cries*
Teins - already got them

Tune - check, just not sure of the price yet... and hopefully the ECU should come with a base tune so i can just drive down to brisbane and get it tuned, rather than having to get it towed... *fail*
i'm aiming for over 200kw and hoping for 350NM with the tune...

Teins - already got thembut they're a bit noisy, i'm going to take them back to the place who sold them to me and get them swapped over (they're under warranty)

Are the Teins 2nd hand jobbies? 200 wasps and 350nm would certainly be nice. What about brakes? You buying Alex's 294 twin pots?

yes they are 2nd hand, from cardiff automotive... $750... with a 3 month warranty... so i'm gonna claim on the warranty cos they're noisy as all hell...Are the Teins 2nd hand jobbies? 200 wasps and 350nm would certainly be nice. What about brakes? You buying Alex's 294 twin pots?
the front brakes are 277 2 pots (bigger than the 266 single pots [i think] that were on there) and will be replaced with 294s as soon as monies will allow... for the time being i'm just going to have to be mindful of the fact that i'm running smaller brakes and won't be able to stop as well... though the pads that are on them give them a lot of bite considering how small they are...
after the conversion in order of soonest to last priority:
New CV joints (front left has cracked boots, these will probably even be fixed when the motor goes in)
Not-bent front left control arm (from when i first got the car and curbed it, it's throwing camber out by 3 degrees)
Brakes (294 front and 290 rear if i can get them...)
Bushings refresh
Swaybars (24 [adjustable?] rear and 22 front)
Rear strut brace
Maybe an RX kit, but i think the GX kit has grown on me
A respray (perhaps not the whole car, but at least the parts that need it)
and then after a while:
Super/turbocharge to about 6-8 PSI as i don't wanna root the engine (which is running 10.7:1 comp ratio)
Bigger exhaust to cope with powah
Stainless Intake (to replace the plastic jobbie)
FMIC (sprayed black to help sleeper look)
Re-tune for MAX POWAH!!
