c'mon Jeff you can't tell you break traction in dry in a straight line. In wet I can if I really stick my boot in to 1st or 2nd but it's not like I drive along at 60km/h hit boost and end up doing a 3,000* turn as a result!

more to come!!

AWD. You'll be fine.

Even in teh turboze charged cars (that are more powahz) peeps get no wheel spinnage ;D

Haha, good stuff tristan mate. Get some coin for a decent bloody exhaust, not some pea shooter.

He was clearly referring to in wet conditions. And yes my car breaks traction in a straight line in the wet easily.

:D Easily.

Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

don't aim too high. set yourself an easy target in your mind... that way if by chance it is higher you will be a lot happier.

better than saying it will be 160 and only turn out a mild 130-140!

told you not to aim too high :P

as long as your happy with it mate.

good to hear its on the road.

Mine breaks traction too :D.. 7000RPM Launch gets me spinning through 1st and 2nd.. hahahaha So you spend 16 grand and got a Torquey 130ish KW's at the treads give or take... I hope its what you were after, i give you credit for having a non orginal approach and did something different, But Value for money and common sense, I give you 1 out of 10. At least it would be great for Towing

I dont have PPG either, but that is probably why I have clunks from the drive train :P I am amazed at the strength of the standard B4 box, its had 40,000Km of hell since I have had it!!! It is dyno time for my car as well I think... try to put down a decent number this time.. last time was appaling LOL.

They should really put up with punishment for ever. I mean, that 135kw of pure terror isn't exactly over the top.

i'm so glad you guys can keep things on topic... lol another quick one... i did say that the exhaust was holding it back and i was right... got a 2.5" exhaust fitted today and got it retuned... 140.6kw atw... i'll post a photo of the dyno chart when i get back to sydney tomorrow night... i got mark (from godzilla, who did the tuning) to bump the high lift cams forward to 4000rpm, but the rev limit is still at 7000rpm (as it's making similar power all the way from 4500 all the way to redline...) also got a bump in tractive effort to 3500N i'm much happier with the car now and it pulls harder off cam than my old engine did at full revs... and when it hits the high cam it is just rediculous in how hard it pulls... i still think that the exhaust is restricting it a bit up top... it probably needs a twin system to get the absolute most out of it... (that's probably why that gen4 was making more power than me) but being in such a light car (should still be just under 1300kg with the motor) i dare say mine would be faster than that gen4 now i've got to get it out on a track so can get a good 0-100 time and see what it gets down the quarter... who's keen to see it when i get back?? oh, and shiv, i've got that cable for you too dude...

Congrats mate, thats an impressive figure!! :D

And yeh your right, the gen2 is significantly lighter than the gen4 so it may be quicker. Have to put that theory to the test though :P

Look forward to seeing how this thing goes, pls give me a buzz when your back in town and your spine has recovered from the trip back OK :)
