If economics was a crime, Josh would have been in jail forever.

Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

One of the trickiest variables is your clientele. A lot of people will push the elasticity curve debate, but one of the hardest things with selling illegal items is the fact that you're dealing with people that are already prepared to be a criminal. Honour amongst thieves rings true, but only if you're stealing from the same person, if you're stealing from each other? All bets are off.

You can dictate prices based on supply and quality, but it is a fine line. You're talking about people that get maybe ten hours sleep a week, and Trav is on their mind for 90% of that awoken period.

Once you're sitting on a decent supply/stockpile, that is the exact moment you start to run out. If your business is tight enough, and you have enough shadow on the streets around you, you can convince the consumer that you are the ONLY place that you can purchase good quality, reliably. You've become the only show in town.

Price will be dictated by the fact that you've engineered a 'drought' and you will make more in a week than you would in a month. Eventually, within a week or two depending on frequency of the consumer, the geographical comfort zone will increase and the realisation that they've just been believing what Trav has been telling them will become clear. At this point, with a strong distaste in the consumers mouth (for various reasons) you can then 'flood the gutters' as you've engineered this drought, but you're sitting on a shit load of gear. Price stability returns with ratio to quantity and quantity and the cycle starts again.

I'm far from dodgy, I feed my ducks each morning. But the microcosm of economics that is the subject we're talking about is fascinating because of how quickly market forces are effective.
