Ok - DW65c installed tonight. A million times easier than the install in the Gen4! Start to finish 20 mins.

An exhaust clip to keep you happy. Sounds loud being right next to the tip but its actually fairly quiet, especially inside the car.

Don't know if this will work or not as I'm uploading from my phone, but it seems to work on my phone.

Not yet. I haven't actually heat wrapped them yet though (hoping to get that done this weekend) so I'll try to remember to grab some pics then.

So here are the dumps we made.

image-22.jpg

Had the exhaust installed for a week or so then removed it and heat wrapped the dumps and the y section which was evidently susceptible to heat. The black dye in the heat wrap makes a bit of mess when you soak it in water!

New turbo/down pipe gaskets cut rated to 1000 degrees and 30psi. Also found and fixed a small coolant leak in the primary turbo hose. Glad I pulled the exhaust off when I did.

Gotta be happy with that, they look really good. Is it all one big unit? Must be a right pain to fit and remove.

Damn! That exhaust looks mint, how does it sound?

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Yes its all one piece - but I find it a little easier to manoeuvre than the stock setup, mainly because I've got a big flexi-join which is positioned close to the y section. Less bolts to undo and less individual sections to support whilst laying on my back and juggling tools and bolts, especially on the installation end if things.

See a couple of posts earlier on this page - though I did a pressure test when I removed it and have fixed a minor leak. I'm also sticking new gaskets in at the turbos to match the modified flanges, which will fix another leak. So once I've got it together I'll put up another clip of the exhaust without the leaks (and outside the shed - the one above was taken inside the shed... stupid me).

...I'm pretty happy how its come up so far.

Very nice.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

Couple of quick snaps. New tinting is in order I'd say, to replace what was removed in the post-conversion inspection.
