I'm going to try find the piste map that shows the first run I ever rode. Red run. Never strapped a board to my feet before, and my forking "mates" take me to a red run. By the time it joined up with the blue run, I was standing and making backside turns. Struggled with the front side turns for the first few days.

It was the red run that starts at Mont Du Valon.

Edit: actually it wasn't that run. It's not possible to get to that run with out doing a run before it.
Must have been the red run that starts at 3 Marches. Mouflon. We were supposed to get off the cable car at the start of the upper blue runs, but they miss counted the stops and ended up at that red run. The two mates I was with had boarded quite a few times before so it wasn't a bother for them.

That's why I want a snow dome built near Perth, because the next time I get back to a proper mountain, I don't want to have to learn on the piste. I want to just be able to tighten the bindings and carve some wicked lines straight off the bat.

Farrrrrrrk  that looks awesome Brett.

It was.
We only went for weekends though. Over night coach from London on Friday arvo. Sank bulk whiskey on the way across. Grabbed a couple of hours kip. Hit the hostel in Bride le Bains at 5 am, straight to the hire place, then back for a quick shower ( to get warm) and then straight to the cable car that takes you up to Meribel. We were boarding by 6am when the lifts opened. Board till about 12, had lunch near the summit at a restaurant. Had a few beers. Got some Dutch courage. Then boarded till about 3ish when it starts to get darker. Down to Meribel for Après ski drinks ( mulled wine to warm up, which was free!), then backdown to the hostel and out to the restaurants and bars in the village.
Coach back tool don left Monday morning about 9 am.

Are there any resorts in the UK?

Should come over for a wild week with Josh and I, if you can handle hanging out with a ****** skier :D

That's sounds freakin mint, but with a family, it's just not going to happen. I've already had 3 weeks in UK without the family this year. It'll be 2050 before I can do anything like that again.

I think there are some resorts in Scotland? They aren't much though. Probably not even as good as the resorts over your way.
