It's half the price of an ipad though, and I don't think it's as much of a huge update, otherwise they would have called it the Nexus 7 Two or something 

You are right, and they do look a lot better. But my point is mainly that everyone comments about how "everytime apple release a new product that is no different, people still flock to buy it", the same

rule of thumb can be applied to this, the amount of phone calls I had and the amount I sold is proof that even in a minor update, people are still going to update, whether its apple or not.

 

 

 

For the record, I don't like ipads, also have no real need, or want for a tablet in any form, I also use an Imac, and have an Android phone, i'm not bias towards either brands/operating systems and so on.

I think they've done alright with the N7 though, they need to update them to keep up with the ipad performance wise, and with a low price tag it's not so bad. Wouldn't mind one for a dash install

The Note's are a better tablet.

 

Good, light weight, fast (dual-core), great picture. The Tab 3 is just Samsungs version of an ipad, with android, the Note is not much different, slightly heavier, quad-core and S-pen.

 

I do like them, they do actually sit quite well in the hand as opposed to the ipad mini which just feels bulky.

 

Nice. And if you had to choose one, which would it be? She'd keep it for some time and I'd want to get her the best one to ensure it lasts the maximum time, not to mention suit her for personal and work use.

I think that for what they are and what you get, they are a fantastic unit.

I would go the Note 8 option myself.
