So today had a hvc prep with cam at his place.
Thermostat seal on my car was leaking so got a new tridon seal and 72oc thermostat, may as well replace the thermostat while it was off for piece of mind.
Can see where it was leaking around the seal on the bottom of that pic
Oil and filter change with delvac ready for HVC.
Replaced the power steering O ring to stop the whine i was getting from the old worn one
Raised the car slightly in the front and rear to fit my 235/50/17s i had put on my my11 wrx wheels during the week.
Wheel alignment along with 2 new front ball joints and front lower control arm pedders poly bushes booked for wednesday
Just need to try and sneak a detail in this week if i can, if not just a wash and vacuum ready for HVC saturday.
As big Kev would say "IM EXCITED"

Nice work
....any reason why you didnt go oem for the thermostat?
Cam said he has used tridons in all his subarus, they are 72 degree celsius opening instead of 78 oem.
Hes seen and done much more than i have on subarus so i trust his word
He also mentioned that oem fail shut, which can cause overheating, where as tridons fail open.

Fail safe open is a good thing, but id love to know how they can stop them failing closed which most do when they "fail"

I've also got a lower degree thermostat. The only negative is that the cooling system goes active more often but you get over it after a little while.
Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille
Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Got an alignment along with new front oem ball joints and pedders poly front lower control arm bushes yesterday at pedders at gateshead. Car fills tighter in the front end, i was a bit surprised at the improvement from just some new stiffer bushes .
Spent this evening with Cam resealing the thermostat we put in on the weekend as its leaked again bit of goop sealant has hopefully fixed it. Cam thinks its a slight irregularity in the thermo housing that caused it from age and alloy pitting.
Got home and spent an hour cleaning the interior and then some mothers naturally black on the roof rails and mud flaps, just need another drink of it on the rails tomorrow and then clean windows and tyre shine saturday morning and im HVC15 ready
Hope everyone's as excited as i am

Been a little while since an update.
Rebuilt my shifter linkages and replaced all the bushes in the shifter assembly yesterday with Cam's help.
Cost abot $170 all up with oem poly linkage, oem poly pivot bushes, oem rear mount and 5 speed kartboy donuts. OEM from parts ouq and donuts from wolf racing.
Car shifts a lot smoother and a lot less play in the shifter now.
Also threw in some $80 front speakers to beef up the sound in the front been meaning to do it for a while.

Best thing about SF's is that you don't have to take the whole door trim off the panel just pops off to reveal the speaker
Sound decent and much better over the stock fronts
That's it for now

Not much going on atm due for a service in the next few weeks around my hectic uni schedule. Going to do accessory belts while I'm there as there looking a bit old.
Went out with Cam Geoff and Mark last week taking some photos this one cam took turned out pretty good.

Had a few bits go on in the last week or so along with the service in on 9th September of delvac, filter, genuine accessory belts, power steering fluid flush, clutch fluid flush and painted my battery bracket as it was a bit how you going.
The other bits i have picked up are
JDM light housings on the boot that have a second tail light with the parkers on. A much cleaner look
Ultrex bugeye Sti replica scoop bolt on to GT Foresters, picked it up cheap on ebay.
Then picked up a bargain on some Charcoal and grey 06/07 WRX seats front and rear with door cards. Bolt in front and rear with some minor mods and have side airbags like the forester seats so are completely legal. Cam and mark kindly picked them up today on an errand to Sydney, pretty hectic with uni atm.
Thats it for now
Cheers
