Can get $250 cash for a 9/10 job.
Problem with home jobs on front parts is unless its baked or left to cure off the car for quite some time it chips easily until cured.

Did more things today. 4/2 pots are on the white car and put the shit brakes on the GX.
Had sweg fitment for 5 seconds too #dope #swag #cancer
Swapped the aerials over too as the one in the RX was a power one that had been cut off and probably was supported by the headunit. Had to break it to get it out i think lol. Also found out what was making the hectic scraping noise
Mustve bent the dust shield when changing the CV and knocked it into the rotor.
Also had some help swapping the turbot bonnet over.
Now here comes the bad part. We bled all the brakes starting from the back right, furthest from the cylinder etc. Took a while cos i drained all the calipers of fluid to paint them. Everything went fine. Took it for a test drive and the pedal feel is rubbish. Didnt empty the master, it has full fluid and the fluid coming out was solid. Wat do? Rubbish pedal adjustment perhaps? Im going to rebleed them tomorrow the other way around as per the FSM incase that has some affect on it. Its driveable but has about 2 inches of free play before its nice an solid

The same thing happened to me. Took my brakes off to paint them and upon re-installing them, the pedal feel is absolute rubbish. They've been bled numerous times by myself and have even been done by Subaru. I have new rotors and pads too. I'm thinking it's something to do with the brake booster or master cylinder. Let me know if you solve the problem.

IMO 4 pot's on the wrong master/prop valve just feels mushy anyhow.

I had them on my GX previously and felt perfect. Ive been doing some reasearch on it so going to cycle the ABS pump tomorrow by jumping on the anchors and giving it another bleed

I have an sti master cylinder (i used the sti booster on the RS) and a gd wrx brake booster i want to get rid of

Or the gd wrx master aswell? As these ran the same brakes it could only make them feel better?
Hit us up if youre interested as they nearly got binned the other day lol

Pulled the interior out of the silver car today. Didnt find anything gross under the carpet which is nice. Did score over $3 though . Hung the carpet up and karchered it then left it to dry. Mustve dripped for an hour cos it was forking heavy. Not looking forward to finding out whats under the white cars carpet given its condition when i got it
Really not that dirty
oh...
Solved
Attempted to swap in my 401 momo but got stuck at different sized airbag charges and a plug. The story is on the facebook to access more of the brains trust

Looking good mate! I feel that I'm going to have to wax the Brumby for it to be worthy of hanging near it's younger sisters/brothers/cousins on Wednesday!
Cheers
Bennie

Grey carpet is in the white car now with the RSK seats, the rest of the grey leather door cards and my steel legacy sill plates. Feels soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much nicer. Carpet is soft and clean instead of crusty and stained. No big surprises thankfully, did find about $10 in coins which bought me lunch although i wish i hadnt found them stuck vertical
Found what is probably a handsfree system from the early days of the handsfree world, some big off nokia brick thing. Chopped it out and insulated the wire ends
Fresh carpet is fresh
Done
Attempted to pull the head unit out to have a look at the wiring and why the ash tray bracket wouldnt come out. Couldnt get the DIN stack out at all. Its wedged in there somehow and i have no idea why. Also found one of the mounts for all the trims is missing so one screws hold the cup holder and trims in. Im thinking new dash when its out for conversion

Don't put any weight in the cup holder. It will break the mounts! Ask me how I know
Did you take all 3 screws out of the ass tray?

Its already broken haha. You mean all 2 screws? Yeah its bound up on something at the back. I can twist it but will not come out

You took the screw out of the back? I'm sure there's 3. 2 up the top and one at the back that you can loosen and then lift the mount out.

I had planned to do yet more spannering today but have a cold thats making my throat feel rougher than 80 grit sandpaper so just did more hosing. Cleaned up the BBS but the brake dust has sat for so long its eaten into the clear a bit on the lips. Will polish them up once theyre on the car. Hung the white carpet up and smashed it with a karcher. The amount of filth in it was next level. The amount of crud spilt on it must have been crazy and theres still a whole lot of stains in it. I dont know how people let their cars get this way
