Good shit.

You can get a finish using cans if you do all the prep right.  Looks pretty good from the photos. You obviously did some research on how to do it.

I've gotta stop reading this thread as I'm starting to get an itch to paint stuff on my subi - but probably won't do it as well as you have!

I'm not talking panels, I'm talking things like brake parts, engine components (PS pump where it should be black etc)...

I suck at panel work, no patience!

Your work is looking awesome mate!

Cheers

Well the bar looked tits this morning. Its a bit hazy cos it needs a polish but thats standard. Took it out to the car and went about installing the fogs. The forkers would not fit in it without seperating the light from the bracket. I only discovered this after i took a chunk out of my brand new paint. I wanted to kill myself  :dash2:  :dash2:  :dash2:. Clearly i didnt but i had to go to AutoBarn and get a vial of touch up paint. Its bloody obvious whats happened but it will at least stop it lifting off more. I didnt even bother trying to install the limited lights as it looks like the bar has to come off the reo to do so and i didnt want to ruin anymore paint. Anyway pic

Still needs a buff which I will do tomorrow

I dont think the stuff i got was heavy duty enough cos it hasnt done much. With some light it looks ok but. Good from far; far from good haha. Good enough for a home job and at least its white. First time ive had a complete colour match car for quite some time

Looks good mate. I'll be sure to check it out at the meet. It's 100% better than my super cheap auto colour match effort!

Cheers

Honestly though for the time, effort, cost and result, I'd rather give it to a panel beater and have it done.

Cost me about $100 in the end and an afternoon. If you can find me a panel beater that will do a decent job for that much and in that time I would.

Kong cans are 300ml I think and are 33~
