Mark made this setup which I then bought off him, left it in the car when I sold it. Defi racer in the vent, matched the bfm perfectly, even blacked out when off!

so it's custom made. Any hints on how it's done? Cut up the air vent and slot it in? Haha looks awesome would love a BFM style one

I love those DIN sets -- but $$$whoah!

potato of a vent gauge install.. (VDO cockpit vision mech boost/vac)

go to a wreckers and pop one out - then you have a spare in case you root it or don't like it.

Simple install -- the vent seperates from the duct. Cut the louvres to size - snug fit so the gauge won't move, put the gauge retention u-clamp thing in as normal, slot back into vent.

I found mine was the right size that this jammed up the louvres so it wouldn't pivot up and down -- which is what you want.

Small hole in the duct for wiring & manifold line... vent still works fine.

Only thing to be wary of is that it may hide a little behind the steering wheel &/or your right hand when you're in normal driving position.

Sounds good. Last question 52mm or 60mm gauge?

52mm. 60 is too big, I tried.

Why not the factory option STi Genome gauge on the steering column? Plug and play too for our cars.

Nice thanks Mark! I was looking at them but I don't really love on the steering column. Did you manage to match the lighting?

So got smashed with work last weekend too, but it's looking like I've got some time free this weekend, which is convenient because my rocker cover gaskets arrived, Which I'll look at doing this weekend. If anyone has any handy tips (other than small hands lol) let me know haha! Was also thinking of changing my spark plugs while I have everything removed because there will never be a better opportunity. If anyone knows if the JDM recommended plugs are the same as the AUDM B4? And is it recommended to get Subaru plugs or just get some NGK's? Thanks guys, I appreciate the knowledge this forum has to offer! You're all legends! :)

New plugs for my BFM harness are due to arrive this week, so I'm prepping some wiring hopefully be ready to install this weekend too. :) however, I got my cluster but it's missing a shit load of lights, which is a pain. I'll have to try sort that out.

In good news tho, I got my full license last week so I can actually drive the car now lol, took it to work on the weekend, but I didn't drive very spiritedly because of my concern with that whole in the intake after the AFM, could cause problems so gonna fix it up before I start to daily it. Another weekend project.

Also got a new lens for my camera, should make for some nice photos. :)

Freekin sweet!

For plugs, a set of PFR6B's will do the job. Get PFR6G's if you can.

Yes, changed the background from green to white led so matches in with the rest of the lighting.

So my Liberty wouldn't start today, battery must be stuffed.

So I drove the legacy into work, drove really nice and smooth, best it has been!

I agree - the JDM plates seem to look more 'normal' when it's not 3x3.

Oh and dude I think your front lip is missing two black stickers under the foglights. Mine are kinda perishing so I'm looking to make some templates up and cut out some adhesive vinyl or something. If I do (and if you want) I'll mail a set down.

Not the best pic but you can see the black decal:

Yeah I noticed, I couldn't figure out if it was a sticker, have it on my RSK bar I imported for my Liberty lol. It definitely feels like a decal but I couldn't find part numbers or anything, if you do make sets, let me know how much! I'm happy to pay for a set (or 2) haha :) I'll see if I can find some black sticker stuff that might work. It feels a bit rough on my bar, but maybe that's from the age, I'm not sure.

So a semi successful day today, ran short on time due to other commitments, but we swapped the spark plug with some fresh new ones. Old plugs were in not too bad condition.

Also removed the rocker covers and replaced everything basically
New gasket for rocker cover, around the coil packs, and the oil breather valve thingo up the top. Also replaced with new bolts and washes, straight from Subaru 59483eceb49df190be41445c2f373dd2.jpg

We pulled the covers off and they were surprisingly so clean. The rocker cover gaskets felt to be in still flexible and soft, however the seals around the coil packs were very hard and shitty (which is where it was leaking from) so I presume previously someone replaced the rocker cover gaskets but not the coil pack gasket. e1f7a8eb7106d54b0fa5ce354552d3eb.jpg4e6eb756963fe0b14579f1d1036a0590.jpg
Gave them a nice clean while they were out

b5c4d5ec10fd07a733948e4f93a8cd82.jpg

We also ordered some pizza because why not

9e7545f75f80e4e4e89ed246fceb3235.jpg

Checked for leaks and it was all good! Win win! Easier than I thought to be honest. Only hard part is the bottom corner bolt lmao

Hey, you were noticing oil coming from the spark plugs and dropping on the exhaust? And smelling the oil burning when you run the Car hard and park?

Yeah mate, from around the coil packs and around some of the rocker cover, but mainly looked to be from the coil packs.
