Do it, I'm not a fan or silver front mounts on any car really. Air damn looks the good too.

Does anyone have any recommendations to painting it? Do I have to use a special paint? one that's not too thick? or just spray with your normal spray paint.

I've just used normal paint on my top mount. and used really thin coats until full coverage. I used a bit more on the end tanks so they look pretty.

It wasn't very thick at all over the fins.

Find a nice self priming engine enamel (I used 3M to touch up mine when I had it out recently) then just paint the visible surfaces, leave the back alloy.
As above, I recommend you putting on quite a few coats on the end tanks, so the stone chips don't show up too quickly. You don't need much paint for the fins to turn them black.
Front looks great blacked out, this will complete that 'look' nicely :)

So what you are saying is I should spray it while its on the car and mask up around it because there is no point spraying non-visible areas black as well! Okay, That will be next project, Also is anyone on here running a cusco oil catch can?

I had mine out to paint, well, it was out to clean, so I painted it.
If you are good at masking things off, I see no real added value in pulling it from the car to paint...it is purely cosmetic afterall.

in QLD, you buy the plates outright, and once you do that you own them for ever!!!!
Prestige is $2000
and this style is $460
