In the midst of tuning. The VVT is not operating as yet, still trying to figure that out. Don't think the 1JZVVT trigger mode likes having a second cam to control.

Makes 350hp atw at 8psi and flatlines. Could be the converter too, it flares to 4k despite the 2800 rpm target rating.

It makes bulk torque from idle, will just have to see if we can get some more numbers out of it so we can win the internet.

Did the numbers get figured out so you can win some bulk intermanets ?

Stuff goes here

No numbers, the converter is just too loose. We got the VVt working using a 1GRFE trigger mode(has 2 inlet cams).
Needs a 2.93 diff, tight converter and more tune yet.

I doubt you'd regret it if you saw Al's bill at the end of this conversion :P

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Regret? Regret is spending a single cent of money I've worked for on a depreciating asset. Anyone who spends a cent on a car and doesnt regret it, is a moron.

Cost of fun is something completely different, I can not put a price on enjoying myself and this car delivers ear to ear smiles with every turn of the key.

Would spending the same amount on a forged EZ be faster? yep. Anywhere even remotely near as fun? no chance.

Investing in your lifestyle is not something you should ever regret.

A v12 in a subaru is not lifestyle. An audi a8L is lifestyle :flag_of_truce:

I'd say that is Luxury lifestyle, and the V12 suby is.. go for it lifestyle ???? each to their own. I personally love the idea!

Hi,

Thanks for joining up to hate on someone's car, and going to the point of labeling car modifiers 'morons'.

I think you might be lost.

Cheers,
Nik

Sounds like the owner to me.
I think he misconstrued my comment as hating on him for doing something different, when in fact I was merely commenting on it's likely cost.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood. The cost for this is less than things I consider lifestyle choices. This is called disposable income.

My comment about regret is that I think it's a stupid way to spend money. There's a handful of people that can afford to modify cars on earth, I'm earning about 500mil per year less than the poorest one. That's my regret :/

Odd change of convo.. I was just pointing out im spending 10k + on a V7 conversion.. Dosent sound like this will be a huge ammount more than that.. And damm this would turn some heads.. If i was in NSW i prob would of gone and seen Al personally and spoke about engine options but since im modifying harn style in VIC the V7 was the goer..

Awesome car man.. Love your work Al.

Where you live in Australia hasn't stopped quite a few people going to Al, who by the way, is in sunny Noosa......ish.
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.
