The first thing I said when I saw this was dangerzone for hydrolocking! if u go through a deep puddle your forked... i would put a weather shield on it, might loose a bit of sound tho.  looks sick anyway  ;)

 

also 'morgan' if you're gonna put a pod in the air box, you may aswell just get an oiled panel filter (K&N or similar) since u wont hear the pod from in there.

If you're going to put an oiled k&n on a Subaru, you're going to have a bad time.



For a pod to be legal, it has to be in some sort of enclosure. You'd still hear the sound if it was in the air box.

It sucked up a bit of water once and since then I've shortened the straight pipe by nearly half raising the pod. It hasn't been an issue since and I've gone through many a deep puddle...... slowly.

Pretty happy with the set up actually, it's been great.  :D

I was a bit worried the other day about hydrolocking when we had monsoonal rain in canberra the other day but it was fine! Haven't had an issue in two years
