I don't think we do any of that in NSW... I wasn't asked to pay for anything anyway, and it was two years ago so if something in the laws have changed since then then that explains it.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Haha, I will! I think I've bored the pants off of everyone with me banging on about it and not having anything to show for it already! Someone sent me this the other day...

Haha, that's allright, we're all car enthusiasts here, we understand!

You going on any four'bee'four journeys anytime soon, Shiv?

Or Alex!?

I promise you my car is packed to the brim with all my off road gear. I did that as soon as I got home from work yesterday.

But no off roading today. Its pissing sideways with rain and the tracks I was going too are going to be as slippery as ice and river crossings impassible. Next weekend hopefully....

Bad start to my morning. Driving cams car for him to the workshop to fit front and rear bars, get pulled over by the local constabulary.

100 dollar fine later, on your way sir.

First fine/infringement and wasn't even in my own car

Should have told him you were waiting for a mate.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Apparently my friend was pulled over earlier today, was asked what the hurry was. He said exactly that and the cop laughed his head off, gave his license back and was told to have a good day. <_<

I'm still questioning whether that actually happened, but if it did, try it next time.

Tough break.

You'd think on a day as wet and wild as today, they'd have more important things to do.

Just think about all the lane hoggers aggravating other motorists and causing unsafe driving practices....

You'd think so. Shit weather and all that, thought he would have traffic to direct or accidents to attend, apparently a car without a front bar is more important

As far as I'm concerned. It's installed, and I could sell the car with new clutch and gearbox.

So..

Spec B has been registered in Vic and is now the daily drive. Commodore is up on blocks with its arse spread out all over the shed.

This bloke, an acquaintance of my mate with the workshop, hears it's coming up for sale and rings last week about buying it and could he come for a look.
I explain the diff needs a bit of work and the car needs a general tidy up (I didn't tell him I was returning the brakes to standard to get it through rego) before I'm ready to take inspections. He asks could he come over for a look. I explain politely again that I'm not in a position to let anyone look at it. He asks again and starts talking deposits. I assure him he will be the first I call when it's ready but I will need a couple of weeks to get it to a stage I'm happy with and he reluctantly leaves it at that.

He rang again yesterday asking for a look. I, rather bluntly, explained it all again and reassured him he will be the first I call.

The background on this bloke is he has been driving a shitbox XF Falcon for many years (I saw it when he bought it and it was Posted Image'ed then) and it has been issued with a defect notice so now he is in a hurry to find a car; he has even covered the defect notice and is continuing to drive it.

Am I potentially pushing a buyer away? Should I have let him take a look, then let him drive it when ready?

I'm doing it this way as I believe it sets a poor example and could drive the price down if he sees it in bits and looking filthy. First impressions and all that...

Discuss.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

I have already told him the price, which is more than the dealers are asking, so that may be pushing it a bit.
Mind you it comes with Roadworthy Cert, 4 new 17" tyres and 12 months rego.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
