Got threatened with an extra 400 dollar fine with 3 demerit points for not displaying a number plate. Fold.

Cam has agreed to pay the fine like a sir. I think there will be a beer or two exchanged as well

Yeah, you need a 'permit to move' over here, I'd say you have the equivalent over there. If you have a minor bingle and need to move the car that's a bit different, as you haven't knowingly set off in a non roadworthy vehicle.


Oh well. Life goes on. Props to Cam for ponying up.

Yeah I'm not too sure what the go is here to be honest, no biggie really to be honest, small problem. He only defected us no fine so no points lost which is probably the silver lining so to speak

Ah fair enough. Wrong place at the wrong time I guess. Shit happens, don't worry about it Mark. Kudos to Cam for being a good mate. Like you said, no points were lost. That's the main thing.

I drove around my VS when it was unregistered and needed a fair bit of repairs. I called the RMS for assistance and they made a note of it and told me that I didn't have to notify the police, but if they were to pull me over, I would explain what was said over the phone from the RMS. Never got pulled over so I don't know whether the information I was given was legitimate, but coming from the RMS, they can't tell me a lie can they?
