Nice one Pete! What FPS are you shooting in? I'm goin to hazard a guess and say 30fps?

If you can, shoot at 60fps, then post edit video at 1280x720 @ 30fps, because when you do the slow motion, it will come out much smoother, especially if you're using twixtor.

Love the dog! Go Elvis!

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Shaz, you are correct...30fps...my shitty D3100 doesn't do 60. I'll try some more mucking around with the Gopro this weekend too.

Just a quick tidy up of a 10 minute drive around the National Arboretum, Canberra.

I hope someone notices my audio syncing...I was chuffed :)

That audio sync was awesome Pete. I noticed that you kept the original GoPro audio as well? Any plans for external mic? I reckon running a mic from the GoPro, and sitting it in the engine bay, then syncing it post edit would be awesome.

Go pro audio is all but useless on a moving car. I always just mute mine.

Mic in the engine bay seems plausible though!!!

I'm out taking some videos today (and learning howtoskidrendogstyle)

Shaz, yep, original gopro audio is still there.
I'm only using free 'Windows Movie Maker' at this stage and really have only just started getting interested in learning more about all the audio/post editing you seem to have access to on the better software packages.
In regard to the Audio, that's a great idea having the mic in the engine bay, although the biggest fail with the whole gopro set-up, is that even though it has a mic jack, that can't be access with either of the cases on :(
I'm going to buy a spare case and drill a whole in it :D
I'll have a try with the Blue tooth mic in the car,...I'm hoping to find an adjustable phone car mount that will hold the gopro steady without it's shell on.
If that works well, I think i might buy a couple of extra mic's, mount 1 in the bay and one at the back of the car for zorst and just label the mic plugs in the car...

If you're after a mount, I'm using something from these guys to hold my tablet in the car and it's sturdy as hell, really solid construction.
Expensive, but if you want to hold it steady I would recommend them, I think they do them for gopro as well.

I was really impressed with mine. I cut off one corner completely and it still held the tablet fine

I have a feeling I got jipped when I bought my Motorsport edition late 2011...It was a dealer demo (only paid $350) but I don't think I got a skeleton case? Just an extra back plate with the cut-outs??? It was only a week before I went to Japan though and everything was manic (as usual) so I probably just Posted Image'ed up as usual and lost it :(
Throw money at problems...they all go away :D

Ram mounts look the goods...that link is gonna cost me Nick ;)

I prefer my story of woe, doom and gloom where I was the victim of malicious commercialized evil.

Let's run with that then!

Just reviewing some footage. The sound isn't TOO bad with the skeleton case... but lots of wind noise, depending where its mounted.

So unhappy with the video quality of the hero2 footage atm, i swear it's gotten worse!!!

I thought it was my export settings but I don't think it is, I'll have to try out a few things and see if I can improve it, but i'm not hopeful. Might be time for a hero 3!

Also, youtube didn't like my song choice. Phaggots!
