Shit yeah. Not a bad tyre at all. These will set the car off.

Thats the plan. Not much left in the looks department after these. Its about to become a whole other level of expensive isnt it....

It'll sell quick.

Best gear to get for Gen2's is V3 STI or you could even go a my02-my04 sti route because you get a 6spd, get to keep cruise, a tuneable ecu and newer bits + heaps of other win bits.

V3 stuff is getting old and rare.  :(

Non dccd 6spd's are my pick of the bunch. I put one of those in my foz with proper lsd's and it did good grass events :P

V3 is a easier conversion.

Do 225's fit on a 7.0 rim?

That's the combination I have ;)

Where'd you score them from?

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

A guy in Glenbrook in your neck of the woods. They were up for auction for 1000 but am paying a bit extra to have them put aside for when I have the money at tax return time. Dont really want to post the cost here but theyre cheaper than getting them from Japan

Sweet. Once the tyres chop out, Go to a 225 45. Gen2's love it.

Pics asap :)

gen2's do not love that size. I'm having so much trouble in the rears atm. I've lifted it almost 8cm from the height it was at and still scrubs. #h8lyf

Is that with any camber? I know Ty had to get his front guards flared to fit 225s but he isnt running any extra camber

It's all about the offset and rolling your guards properly.

nMFTjDS.jpg?1

That's a 17x8.5 +44 with a 245/40 and only a guard roll, No pumpage.

Ill be getting my guards rolled regardless. Will have to take the flares off for a bit of tinkering as they attach partly onto the lip of the guard :\

Still my favourite wheel. Nice purchase.

Paint centres black and reverse straight away. Reversed makes them a +30.

Even with 215/45/17's you will need some rear camber bolts as well as guard rolling. 225's will work also. I have 225's on my 8.5" which sat a little wider than a 7.5 +30.

I think something in my rear end is out of alignment. Only scrubs on the right hand rear and sits significantly closer to the guard on that side. I'm running -1.5 degrees in the rear. Guards are rolled. On standard subaru wheels. So by the sounds of it something is out of whack somewhere.

Reversed.

In standard spec you will need the guards rolled minimum. With my 7.5 +48 WORKS and 215's and lowered it scrubbed the lip without rolling on large bumps.
