LOTR setting now? I wouldn't mind a trip to NZ.
I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Do you want the garage door still there from the front?
Plaster would look better inside. You said the garage was lined didn't you?
You would need at least, and I mean very least, a saw, and a cordless drill
Ideally, drop saw, cordless drill and impact driver
I could probably help, I built a fair few stud walls in my apprenticeship... But I'd hate to stuff it up
I hate whine.
Well the garage doesn't have brick walls.. it has the same walls that are in the house, which is why we didn't want to use it as a garage coz it looks good. Even have skirting boards and a very high ceiling.
Yeah I was thinking I'd pick up some timber for the frame, a jig saw, cordless drill and stuff from Bunnings, hire a ute, pick up cement board from bunnings too and have a go.
So its called a stud wall is it? It isn't meant to be a permanent thing, thats why its a false wall, since if we sell the house one day, we can take the wall down, so it is a garage again.
I think the roller door is on the inside of the garage, so I would think the roller door would have to be rolled up, and left that way, and the false wall would take the place of the door, to fill up the entrance.
I have no idea what I'm talking about really, which is why the carpenter is coming tomorrow to give us a quote but Megan is quite keen to get it done, so will see what I can do. I wouldn't mind being able to build a wall myself. Thanks for the offer of help Adam.
