Since when do gen 2's run twin mufflers?
Anyway, torqued to spec is just the manuals way of saying 'we couldn't get it any tighter, see if you can'.

I swapped the standard glass headlights for a tidy set of projectors that are already de tango'd. There was a bunch of crap to get them but thats story for a different time. Wired them in today. apart from trying to wire the parkers into the fog lights it went well. Theyre wired up incorrectly cos i cant find the updated wiring diagrams as most of them seem to be on OZLib but whatever.

Holy fork what a cubt these are to change. Ended up having to pull the driveshafts to get bigger tools in there. Drivers side front bolt did not want to come out. Even jacking up my spanners it wouldn't budge. Whichever subaru engineer decided to put the nuts hard up against the fuel tank should be shot. Had to jack the car up more and get my breaker bar in there and use my legs to crack it while wedging myself against the carport. Once it did finally crack the rest was pretty simple. The drivers side took me about 3 hours, passenger side took about 45 minutes lol.
Took a quick test drive and the rear end is much tighter now. Was chirping tyres round a local corner, they are shit tyres though but they didnt do it before. Once my good tyres, coilovers, 22mm RSB and a good alignment its going to be tits. Another thing of note ive somehow managed to take apart the entire rear end and driveshafts and have no weird noises as a result ¯\(°_o)/¯
