Ordered some bits and pieces from partsouq that arrived today
Genuine oil filter, radiator cap to replace the random probably SCA one, bonnet prop grommets as mine was destroyed during the conversion and a restrictor pill to turn the boost up from wrx levels. Unfortunately the pill didnt get shipped. I checked the invoice and it says "Supplied: 0" and is 0 stock available. Derp moment by me as it looks like I ordered a 22B spec pill rather than V4 STi. Fork paying $20 in shipping for another one so will try and find one locally. Usually need a VIN so that could be interesting.
Also exhaust is being done on Friday

Took my car to the local zorst shop on friday with the 3" TBE from the gen 3. A few hours later got a call that basically said "its way too different to make work. We can put your old stuff back on but its going to cost you a few hundred in labour so far, we can make the dump fit and redo the rest for 700-1200"
Dicks indeed. Mufflers were too big to fit my bar, pipe really was very different and the cat that I thought was fine was actually half missing. In the end the guy did me a deal and got the dump on with a new old stock Xforce 3" highflow cat and mated to the current 2.25 cat back. Not ideal but anything is better than the rubbish stock dump pipe. The cat really forked things up as my budget for the whole exhaust only got the dump pipe done but was better than spending a few hundred on nothing.
That said holy fork the dump makes a difference. Faster spool and it really pins you in the seat now. Has some nice turbo whistling noises when its spooling up too.
4 things left for HVC
- Oil change with UEC
- Remove the bar skin
- Reinstall the Limited fogs
- Wire up projector fogs
