Holy :fork: balls! That drastically changes the tone of the vehicle!

From classy/elegantly fast to down to dirty business I reckon.

I think its just the dirt that makes it look dirty.

How much for Tys V7s?

That makes sense. Ty isnt selling the V7s. Theyre his spare/track rims with sticky tyres

So the thought of a tuneable ecu has always been a ways away. I was planning on getting ESL in the UK to mod my V4 STI ecu to be made tuneable as it retains all the factory features and adds some goodies like twin maps and 3D maps and so on. However on Monday an Apexi Power FC popped up for cheap, stupid cheap. So i bit the bullet and bought it.

Havent powered it up yet but made sure to pay with Paypal in the goods and services option so i get some protection if its forked.

Wont be going in for a while, not till I get my exhaust on and the rich/boost leak issue is sorted.

Ive been pestering Jarrod to sell me his interior for about a year or so. 6-8 months ago when he relocated from Bathurst? to Adelaide and decided to go race car he finally caved and would let me have it. Right about the same time i lost my job so cash was 0. Being an absolute top cubt he held onto it for until now when I had some spare cash and a spare weekend to drive over to get them. Considered getting them shipped but didnt want to risk some old m8 folding a door card in half.

So 1500km later I finally have my perfect gen 2 unicorn interior. Full JDM s2 RS Digital Camo seats and door cards with facelift switches.

Jarrod also had a bunch of other goodies that some other m9s wanted so picked that up too. Sedan monsoons for Ty, Legacy bootlid and an STi steering wheel for wob and clear indicators for Joss

Dem goodies.

Car ran micky mouse for the whole trip but now has leaking rocker cover bolts  :nea:

The things you do for mates!

You should've spun that story as if you went to SA to pick up their gear and scored a sweet interior ;)

Cheers

Bennie

How good is the road when you cross into SA?!

And how :fork:'d are they when you cross from SA? :(

Such good quality road outside of Vic - the nanny state is so far behind on maintaining decent roads!

How'd your subi go with those bumps and lot holes?

Cheers

Their roads are smooth but noisey as fork, was terrible with no back seat on the way over. Our roads are shit house but quiet at least haha. Between the border and Horsham are forked. Nearly tore my sump off

Once i turned my coilovers to max soft it handled it fine. GF didnt complain once about the ride

Also in other news i finally plugged the PFC in today. Looks like something in the hand controller is ded :(. The bottom half of the screen flashes black for a second when you turn the car on but then its blank. ECU seems to work fine as the car starts and idles. Clearly has the base tune on it as theres a 1 second delay from stabbing the throttle to anything happening lol.

Can get updated hand controllers with a OLED screen brand new but they arent cheap. Will test it out with Tys PFC and go from there
