Their roads are smooth but noisey as fork, was terrible with no back seat on the way over. Our roads are shit house but quiet at least haha. Between the border and Horsham are forked. Nearly tore my sump off

Once i turned my coilovers to max soft it handled it fine. GF didnt complain once about the ride

Fark. Some of the roads in NSW are crap.

So over forking pot holes.

Good to hear the car ran well all the way.

Plugged my controller into Tys PFC, same deal, nothing. So at least its the controller thats dead not the ecu. For the sake of research we plugged my PFC into Tys car and tried his controller, his controller boots but freezes on the apexi logo which means incompatible controller with the ecu. My ecu is a GC8DL his is just a GC8D. We very much hoped that this meant mine was a Pro version which means spark cut instead of fuel and launch control.

So to find out I took it all over to our mates place who has an FC Datalogit and plugged it all in. The ecu does have a tune in it but its not great, usable but not great. For some reason the ecu wasnt set to use an STi orange maf so once that was changed it ran way better than when i had been testing it, oh and its not a pro unfortunately :\

TL;DR ECU works, hand controller dead. Not a huge deal as a newer OLED controller is available thats universal across the PFCs which is awesome albeit expensive.

It seems a bit long mate!  I guess it'd make removal easier.

No pretty turbo cover for your ride?  Or is the chimney an RS thing?

Cheers

Bennie

Length means it's more flexy and easy to deal with. Stops it kinking and bending too I spose. No heatshield. Won't fit over the bellmouth dump.I don't think. Turbo beanie one day. The chimney is an rs thing yup

Should have cleaned the car beforehand ;)

Anyway, torqued to spec is just the manuals way of saying 'we couldn't get it any tighter, see if you can'.

Just read the entire thread.  Nice build Barbbachello, actually... an excellent build.  Grats to the Mehican crew for helping your build, nicely done peeps.  Totally peeved to read your ride was nicked & twice at that.  Dang!  All that work then they go & spoil it specially with them burning coffin nails in it.  Hope it all pans out well for your continuing build.

Went to the wreckers yesterday to get the overflow hardpipe across the top of the rad as the B4 one ive got is hack. Manged to be the first person to touch a 3/4 WRX with many goodies on it including a big garrett turbo that proved far to hard to get off with my limited tools. Got my pipe and was checking out the rest of the car and found a full stainless 3" Veilside oval muffler sitting in the boot.

Its not from the WRX and the hangers apparently suit a nissan ¯\(°_o)/¯ Its not far off subaru specs so will get it made to do when i get my catback on eventually. Couldnt say no for a proper jdm sweg muffler for $39 lol
