Wicked progress is wicked.

Why did the doors come off Josh?

Fank you man.

Swapping 2 doors out to lose a bunch of dents and throwing the driver door because it's peppered with drill holes from the door skin BS  ;) .

It's working out quite well as far as dents, paint and panels go.

How much for the pen lid

Progress has been slow since my last update.  The car is sitting in my driveway without shelter so I'm relying on good weather to get things done.  Sadly for me, there hasn't been much of that.

It's been quite frustrating.

Another thing that's been slowing me down is my high standards and desire to make everything as good as it can be.... doing it right the first time.

I'll start working on one area of the car only to be halted because something needs to be washed or repaired before I can move on and complete the job.

However, the results I'm seeing are very pleasing to me.

The condition & standard of this car already exceeds that of Whitekong 1, in so many ways.

My focus since my last update has been on the interior.  The entire interior was removed for cleaning, all scratched & damaged trim was replaced, the carpet was shampoo'd, black leather seats & door trims, steering wheel replaced for one in better condition and the Momo air bag was replaced with one that has the silver ring around the horn instead of black. (Cheers Jimbo)

My old STi replicas made their way on board....

It's hard to capture how good it actually looks with the phone camera.

DSC_0603_zpszicqodak.jpg

Today my mission was to clean the boot space.  It was dirty and all the linings were in tatters so they were binned and replaced with decent ones.

DSC_0588_zpsbncjpld5.jpg

I decided to lay extra carpet & added some more vinyl to tidy things up.  The boots of these cars always seemed unfinished to me.

I know, I know... who cares what it looks like under the hard boot liner!?   Well I do ;)

That's it for now,  more soon.

How are the seats Kong? I remember you weren't liking them when you first got them. They look mighty comfy.

In all seriousness...that interior looks forking awesome Josh!! Loving it, and fully agree with the boots being unfinished....especially when you look at the effort subaru put into the wagon boot area lol

They are a bit hard for my liking Lachy but I've added some lumbar support and strengthened the back rest so they are much better than when I first picked them up. The backs were a bit floppy but they're all good now.

Time will tell if they will remain in the car, but to be honest, I'm already on the look out for replacements.  I'm pretty fussy when it comes to seats mate.

I regret every day not buying a set of JDM seats that I saw in New Zealand..... Black leather with red stitching  :(

If anyone knows of anyGTB or RS30 seats for sale, let me know  ;)

And if anyone is interested in these seats, throw me an offer.  I paid $600 for them but would be happy to take a lot less than that.

Hot shit man. I love it. And the attention to detail in the boot is definitely a good thing. :)

Update...

The rear end had issues, i knew it when I bought the car.  Both CV's were shot, along with the diff bushes.  So, for the second time in my Gen3 history, I've replaced the whole diff cradle/sub frame in my driveway..... and it never gets any easier.  Shit job.

Out with the old.

DSC_0662_zpsuelhm7w0.jpg

In with the replacement....

DSC_0739_zpslstfmivc.jpg

I had some nice bits lying around waiting for action....  Fresh 4 pot Brakes added to the mix.

DSC_0685_zpsyexrlhzp.jpg

What can I say... Cruisin's work is absolute porn. They will be missed from sitting on my mantle piece. Such a show stopping finish.

DSC_0729_zps93nmw0oz.jpg

Installed 4 pots with freshly painted rotors and some Nolathane swaybar bushes (because red)

DSC_0742_zpsfckoilpw.jpg

Rear rotors given the blackening also.  Callipers are shitty but I don't care.  One day they'll be touched up, not right now.

DSC_0687_zpstuftpk7l.jpg

Back to the interior...  The leather strip above the glovebox was torn so it was replaced.  Another very fiddly job, worth the effort though.  it was right in your face and the replacement is perfect.

DSC_0689_zpsolvh9ccn.jpg

Jimbo's silver ringed Momo airbag installed.  I like it much better than the black one B4's came with.  It ties in beautifully with the silver center console trim.

DSC_0693_zpsyehb1dfi.jpg

A quick snap of the carpet, it's forking mint.  Like new.

DSC_0720_zpse1l21myn.jpg

Satin black'd stuff....

DSC_0697_zpsv07kv362.jpgDSC_0705_zpsahlcy043.jpg

That will do for now.  More to come soon.

Shits me how all the DIN pockets all bow at the bottom. Horn pad looks a treat and the brakes are delightful!

Nice update.

Done a GC8 to GDB rear sub frame swap in my garage, not that bad. :P

I had to get creative with pavers so there was a flat surface for the trolley jack.  It will be nice to clear out the old wreck and get access to the garage once more.

That looks so damn awesome man. Well done.

Thanks Gaz. I just want it all to be finished so I can take it for a spin and work on the performance.  Sick of swinging spanners.

Nice work brother!

Shits me how all the DIN pockets all bow at the bottom. Horn pad looks a treat and the brakes are delightful!

Cheers Jim. I'll be putting in one with the cubby door flap when I get around to wiring up the stereo.  That wont be for a while though, a working stereo is pretty low on the list of priorities atm.

Accepted with pleasure, thank you sir.
