It's not going to be a rush job. And it's not going to be a hack job!
Jokes aside, I'm serious about the safety aspect of this build. I've already laid down the rules about hacking shit up..
Nothing is leaving the garage unless I would trust it with my son in the passenger seat!
All dash will be in. All suspension and brakes will be done properly.
I'm going to have a qualified mechanic check many aspects of this too.
As we're not in a rush to get this down to a track day and we all have better things to spend money on its going to be slow.. But like nick has mentioned.. When those old parts come up and you need to clear out.. Think of us

Thus the idea was born.. And with the lack of a big open warehouse to share I've taken it up to happen at my place.
In payment for parts and time, I'm always up to share my knowledge I've gained from everyone else and help out with mechanical assistance over here..
Such as.. Vic, he upgraded to 4 pots.. I swapped em over for him and in payment.. I got a kebab and the racecar got 294mm b4 brakes.. Good upgrade from rx 277's
Legend!
Anyway I'm not as active on the forum as I used to be.. Real life has got in the way haha but I'm super keen to see where this goes and thank everyone in advance for what I'm sure is going to be a garage full of random but good shit! Haha.. And keep an eye out for wrecker bargains for us!!
Cheers, Ty
P.s. please keep the location quiet.. I really don't want randoms rocking up.. Or even worse.. Club.Lib guys

P.s. yeah this is really just going to be a budget build.. But we've all discussed this for well over 6 months.

Looks like I won't be driving then...
Anyway, torqued to spec is just the manuals way of saying 'we couldn't get it any tighter, see if you can'.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.
MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

I just looked at the photos.. that looks sketchy as! but just to ease everyone's mind... the Scissor Jack was only helping me adjust the angle on the box because my arms were tired.
it was holding maybe 10KG at most.
don't you guys love playing live Tetris?

No matter what you plan on doing I'd be checking out the regs for track work/class requirements and work from there. This shouldn't effect your budget but will give a good guide/idea of what can/can't be done or how it should be done

Have fun!
Cheers

Already looked at CAMS requirements long time ago, this is just going to be a fun car.. for non registered cars, its too much effort to enter into anything timed / competitive.
Winton, Sandown is about all this thing will see.

It might need to be registered to run @ Sandown !
