Had an interesting Subaru day today.......
Dropped off at a mates workshop for a cuppa just as he was pushing a SG Foz onto the hoist. Apparently with a dead fuel pump. "Did you check the electrics?', I ask.
'Yep, pumps dead and the tank has to come out to replace it', came the reply.
'Ummm you sure? Subys usually have a access hole in the floor??', I ask with a perplexed look on my face.
'Nope, nothing under the back seat'.
'Behind the back seat?', says me looking even more perplexed.
'Nope, give us a hand with the tank?'
'Ok', says me as I was feeling a little bored.
After removing the exhaust, half the rear drive assembly and crossmember, with the tank dropped down I inquire about the two access holes I can see in the floor...
'FK' was the reply.
After fitting a new pump via the access hole in the floor. the car still would not make any fuel pressure.
I left to go to another mates workshop where a Liberty was undergoing a heart transplant.
'How come all the shit around the gearbox is off', I ask looking even more more perplexed that I did earlier.
'Engine needs to come out with the gearbox', states the apprentice with a determined tone in his voice.
'Why?', I smirked.
'Coz the gearbox won't come off the motor', replies the underling ignoring my smirk.
'Did you remove the clutch fork pivot pin like I told you to the other week', I reply bashing him about the head with the handle of a screwdriver. 'Now put all that gearbox shit back on before I get a bigger screwdriver.
I going back tomorrow with an esky full of beer and a deck chair to watch him work.
Cheapest entertainment ever.

You did it, didn't you...
If you park it really close to the other one, do you think they will breed?

Haha, good stories Jase.
I'd have been a shit mechanic, I'm too eager, would have had a bunch of parts and nuts and bolts and no idea where they all came from, because I wouldn't have been meticulous enough to number them and draw a diagram.
Farken day and a half here, got a client sleeping on the floor. 'I'm sleeping on the floor' she screams, as if she thinks I give a fork. Sleep on the floor, get mites and shit in your hair and wake up with a sore back champ, ain't none of it going to cure your crazy. Fucken suicide watch is the worst.
Staying stock Adam or changing it up?

Mini's are so small too, you can park them on top of each other with a hoist.
If you have a spare ignition barrel Adam let me know.
