I have a solution to that problem. I'll give you my momo wheel that you can drill a hole in and you can give me the 401 wheel!:P
Cheers aek, just the info I wanted to hear!

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

Nick, would a Gen3 clockspring work in your gen 2?
I have one, along with the factorywheel plastics with a hole for the cruise stalk.

So 4 hours of fiddling and $50 at the wrecker means i now have a working speedo, no more check engine light, a proper fitting shift boot, indicator cancelling and hopefully by tomorrow a horn, some kind of cruise control and my fogs working. Having a speedo for the first time in 4 months is going to take some getting used to lol.

Gen 2 one fits so all good. Only problem is the wheel doesnt have any mounts for a stalk as the s401 didnt come with it? Weird they didnt just change the horn pad and as its the only part thats different

Good progress today with your HVC preparation.

I pulled my old drivers seat base apart, now to pull apart the leather/electric seat and refit it with manual type base.

Was not hard at all !

Yeah really. I guess that's another reason they're unique.

Told you so!

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

What is the crease across the wheel, rob?
Or It is that a shadow, picture playing tricks?
