Why the b4 inlet manifold out of interest?

Well how else do you expect it to break orbit and reach warp 11.

Hence why mine was close decked and sleeved. 35psi > come at me bro!!!!!!

If mine doesnt sell, i can keep it as ive already paid for the wedding. I kinda dont want the engine Frank and I built to blow, but on tje same token, we kinda do. I still have my GT35 and ive got another Autronic now.

Not saying yours wasnt capable but it would be even more expensive than my build..

Now that is an absolutely great article! Just proves ej257's aren't as weak as people say they are >.<

Why the b4 inlet manifold out of interest?

3 wire IACV requires 2 ecu outputs not 4 like the 99/00 wrx inlet manifold IACV so you can run a more basic ( but still more than capable ) ecu, no TGV's, aftermarket throttle bodies for  01-05 Sti bolt up if needed, if you want to rotate the inlet manifold it also has a steeper throttle body angle than the 01-05 WRX / Sti inlet as well as taking top feed injectors out of the box.

thanks, Ben.

This is why I want a forged and sleeved closed deck bottom end ;P

forged + sleeved + closed deck realistically $10k minimum in the bottom end for good quality internals.

we recently put together a 400+kw bottom end starting eith an ej257,only think we kept was the block ($2800)

closed decking $1000

sleeving $1000

also pinned the block $350

manley billet crank (2.6 stroke crank) $2000

manley rods $800

manley pistons $800

ACL race series big end and main bearings $300

ACL race series head gaskets $300

Modded head gaskets for 14mm studs ( out sourced engineering shop) $100

assembly and sundries $500

ARP case bolt / stud kit $300

PBMS 14mm head studs $800

plus there is no ecu, turbo , intercooler ,heads, exhaust, inlet manifolds wiring etc.

Glad you pulled this list out.. No matter how much free labor you get there are still lots of parts needed..

I know you said your going for a 2.5l setup but came across these and thought of you.

http://www.rexnet.co...stons-for-235l/

So for your power goal a short motor would only need these pistons, a set of rods, a ej257 crank and a ej22 block. Along with the normal engine built costs. You could then spend the coin on head porting, cams and big twin scroll setup and a run stock block.

Just food for thought. :)

Current power goal isn't too high but I'd rather have a solid engine and when I want more power I could just upgrade bolt ons to gain more power? As the bottom end/heads would already be strong enough to hold more power

Thats what im saying. A ej22 was in the 22b's for a reason. They are strong as fark! No need to spend money on sleeves.

As i said just food for thought.

Im not referring this to anyone but some people just can't be told.

Its going to cost you ALOT of money to get this kind of gear...

its a EJ motor not an RB. You are going to have do a lot of work to get what you want.

You can't skimp and miss anything, you need what 93tzlegacy said above,

I wouldn't even think about chasing power until you have top of the line handling/suspension.

Already have sti suspension, next things are upgraded brakes like my old rx which was very good, and strut braces for some better handling
