I think a lot of the late 90's and early 00's japanese cars had flares. My brother has an R32 GTST '93 model, and his flare is in the same spot. Lots of people have asked what it is, and then proceed to ask can we let it off. Its pretty rare over here due to customs seizing them.
MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.
MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

Air purifier... wow! Surely there are a number of luxurious cars with that option - but I've never heard of it.
LOL at the "you obviously don't drive around with drunk mates" re: the flare, pisser.

Massive "rear air purifier" in the roof above the cargo area in my Legacy GT. Weighed a fair bit.
Did you notice a difference haha?

When i got my Legacy GT-B, first thing i did was set the flare off in the backyard!
Once Benny found a brand new pack of Japanese smokes in a halfcut. I had one and had an instant headache, JDM smokes yo!

The front bar is actually pretty cool. The skirts however...

Yeah not a fan of the skirts.
I wish we had easy access to all that JDM goodness.

Do these doors count?
It's a 1990 Toyota Sera - concept car was on show in 89.
One of the options was an "Air Fantasy" automatic fragrance system that released pre-loaded scents into the air conditioning ducts.
Here's a cardomain.com image I found on www.ae101ownersclub.com via google, listed as being an option on 93-97 Corollas
"For your life scene" How's that for JDM ?

Early 2000's CRVs spare wheel cover is a picnic table.
I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

FYI - The B4 label first started getting used to describe ALL Legacy sedans from late 98 and on to the current shape (some export Gen 2 Series 2 Legacy sedans had the B4 badge as well). This includes turbo and no turbo and is still used for the current Legacy to differentiate the sedan (B4) from the wagon (Touring).
Australia is the only place that uses the B4 badge to exclusively describe the gen 3 tt sedan
Hang on Aek, what about GTB Gen 3? I thought pre 2001 they were still as standard Legacy names without the B4 badge.
Also I know B4 was used to name B4, B4 RS25 and RS30 < -- scrub that
Aek was right lol
