I dropped my nuts in the rear quarter panel trims...so annoying.
I keep a telescopic magnet on hand in the garage. The best thing for fishing nuts and bolts out from places dropped. Unless you were eluding to some weird car fetish on your part?

Did the same, had to pull everything out of that corner. Found it right under the mount for the corner strap hook.

My biggest wish right now would be to refresh the interior completely. I'm trying to do it one piece at a time. It's just terrible.
I got myself some Maguires heavy duty stain and odour lifter and it work a treat. I started in the cargo area, let it soak in and most of the stains came out. Looks much better and I wish i did before/after photos.
The steering wheel is absolutely putrid. It actually smells bad and gives the cabin a nasty funk. Have a replacement on the way thanks to Mark, I can't wait to get it!
As far the exterior goes, I'm pretty happy with it apart from the roof. Eventually at some point a respray up there would be on the cards when funds permit. Rest of the body is pretty good. Still have some side strakes I need to colour match and fit on. I would also like to get a set of OEM wheels which are the ones used on the 01+ WRX. These wheels emerged with the Legacy in '98 so I want the original look. Shame the previous owner ruined the ones that it came it with and they couldn't be saved.

Hey Jimbo, i noticed these on facebook. They sound to be in good condition and the RS-Rs are a really nice tyre as well, in the correct size for the legacy.

Today's job was a fairly simple one, Operation Tiller.
The state of the existing wheel was nothing short of putrid. It made the cabin stink and was in poor condition. When I pulled it off and apart, it literally smelt like something pissed on itself while it was dying in there.
Now with that disgusting ring of filth removed, on went the new one! Thanks to Mark for steering me in the right direction.... Ha! Geddit?
So happy with the condition of this one, the worst of it is the small blemish in the lower right corner. It looks and feels sensational. Interior is starting to really come up well, just want some new dash trims and later on maybe some new seats and door cards.

So, did a quick oil and filter change today! I'm overjoyed to find on the previous change, 4.5L went in, and on this change 4.5L came out!
Nice to see it doesn't burn much oil at all. Makes me a bit more confident!

Just picked a set up from Autobarn, Narva branded ones. Bit pricey but opted for those instead of the Supercheap house brand ones. Figured they'd last longer.
Have a few new interior trims on the way, looking forward to tidying up the bridge! After that, hopefully Nick has the BFM adapters done soon and i'll make the switch to a nice tidy BFM.
It's a slow progress job and I have no idea where I got all the money from to modify my last few cars.

Just a little update on some stuff I did yesterday. Got myself a functioning JDM cup holder and finally replaced the last batch of vac lines (Group 1). I then tidied them up as best I could with that twisty black stuff.
Also discovered I'll have to try find a new handbrake labia lol
