You should always run a space saver on the rear anyway!
And I'm 99% sure that Subaru space savers are a smaller diametre than the stock tyre size as it should only be used to drive to the nearest tyre place.
Or run without a spare and take out total care - get towed to a tyre joint when you get a flat. Not a RWC issue to do this either as you're not going to drive the car on a flat.
Other thing - is this Gucci toolbox thing really that worth it to drop the full size spare? Why not false floor the boot a little to fit your tools under there? If you do it right only those that know subi's inside out would know it's not sitting as it should from factory.

Did more things today with the help of Joss
Engine is basically ready to come out bar fuel lines and engine mounts . The real fun begins tomorrow at 10 when the car arrives at home and the mexican squad assembles. Should be able to get the gearbag and engine out before lunch im thinking
