Kents put em in dry or use normal multi purpose grease which tends to make them nightmares to remove

Crack it open, might be able to fund my conversion too ;)

Anyway, torqued to spec is just the manuals way of saying 'we couldn't get it any tighter, see if you can'.

You should always run a space saver on the rear anyway!
And I'm 99% sure that Subaru space savers are a smaller diametre than the stock tyre size as it should only be used to drive to the nearest tyre place.
Or run without a spare and take out total care - get towed to a tyre joint when you get a flat. Not a RWC issue to do this either as you're not going to drive the car on a flat.
Other thing - is this Gucci toolbox thing really that worth it to drop the full size spare? Why not false floor the boot a little to fit your tools under there? If you do it right only those that know subi's inside out would know it's not sitting as it should from factory.
Cheers
Bennie

I lol'd. Space saver? Ain't nobody got time for dat!!!

I bet you'd be one of "those blokes" that calls the RACV when you need a tyre changed anyway :P

So, is it two sleeps or only one now (because you can't sleep Friday night).

All the best with that insomnia!
