I probably missed it, but where did you source the oil cooler? And the intercooler is what brand? I like how you have kept the foggies as well.

Thats a pwr tranny cooler..its cooling the power steering oil though?

Its an ebay spec core and Al's custom piping that he does on all Gen3's...im looking into an upgrade on the core as this one doesnt flow too fantastically

This car is brilliant, ticks all the boxes. Daily driven monster and a sleeper. My idea of perfect.

Just wondering if you ever regret paying for the conversion to be done rather than trying to do it yourself?
The thing most people seem to say after a job like this, is that all the shit throughout is compensated for with the satisfaction of completing it themselves. Plus there is all the additional experience and knowledge gained. Although, after reading about all the research you have done I would assume you have acquired most of the knowledge.
That said, this seems like the an extremely well planned and relatively headache-free conversion. I think you would be the only person to describe their conversion as a "holiday".

Thanks, Josh

To be honest? No, not at all...yeah i paid a bit/lot more to get someone who actually knows what theyre doing to do the big work, but its just that..they know what theyre doing...as much as i know in theory and a lot practically i dont have the time, skills, space and tools to do it properly and deal with the headaches that arise during the change
I in theory know the ins and outs of what to do through watching the work being done or just research, but this is my only car...my baby lol, i wanted the work done in a certain time, and done safely and correct with no hassles

You get what you pay for really

But im in no way saying doing it yourself is bad, quite the opposite i have nothing but respect for the guys that do it themselves and struggle through some of the mindfucks that pop up... And if i had access to a hoist and garage and a spare car i may have done the same? Maybe...but probably not hahaha...so for this crap id rather let someone with the tools, hoist, know how etc to do it right....all while i have a holiday and drink some beer :)

I suppose getting it done by the people who are the best, who have seen it all(or most of it) and already dealt with the headaches would be really reassuring with your 'baby'.

Can't really fault your approach when you put it like that.
Drive up, have a holiday, check on progress whenever suits you, drive back with Boost. Win :yahoo:
Look forward to seeing where this goes.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, Josh

So insanely jealous!
And your missus sounds like a boss, what with protecting your car from scratches, and putting up with you doing all this to your car!

Hahaha shes pretty awesome, helps that she loves my car almost as much as me..though she refuses to drive it now hahahaha...
and "putting up with it" is a bit borderline lol....ive had this stuff ready to install for about 2 years...well before we got together, so i was always going to do it

And although i wouldnt say this to her....it is my money afterall lol (though i do spoil her a bit ;))
