13% more pressure with the STi booster.
Digging the progress.

Awesome news :)

If I can find a non abs 1 1/16 brake master cylinder ill be set!! Where Id find one..I have no idea...apparently the svx or vortex (one of them?) Has the right non abs booster

And cheers mate...its been putting a huge smile on my face to see it coming together a biy more....and the more that goes on..the more space I get in the garage :D

Still have the original p/s lines that you dont want?

Didnt do the master cylinder as my rs in non abs...and ya cant put an abs master in a non abs car...just not enough ports

But the brake booster itself was fairly simple..but I wouldnt like to do it with an engine in the car lol

Engine out and ps master out...it wasnt too bad...just unbolt and bend the brake master carefully outta the way..and unbolt and unclip the booster and wiggle it out..putting the bigger one back in was interesting. ..but very doable

Nice work.

13% more pressure with the STi booster.

Huh?

Do the STi get a larger diameter booster, or just double diaphragm?

Look at the pic a few posts up to see the difference between rs and STi boosters

But in regards to wrx to STi of the same vintage...ill measure it when I get the time as I have both here

MISSION ACCOMPLISED!!!!!

Loom is out!!! Once I got the heater/ac gear ouy it was jyst a slow process of taking photos of how the loom runs and where every connection goes...I think i took about 500 photos lol....then add that to the 500 I took pulling the dash apart

Though im sure nonenof that will help hahahaha

Anyways loom is ready to box up tomorrow...just gotta pull the wrx back out, lay it out and pick out the part I need...and itll all be s3nt away on monday or tuesday for a holoday in sunny noosaville :D

While the dash and loom are out I will be stripping the previously hard to get at sound deadening and tearing out the rubber mat that sits on the firewall for more enjoyable...but noisy....weight savings

Next up is to roll the front end out onto the driveway and give the engine bay and front clip in general a good scrub and start cutting my newish reo to suit the fmic...as the original had been absolutely molested to fit it.....im a bit ocd about that sorta stuff lol

Once the heater core etc was out it was much easier to see what was going on
20141129_102037.jpg

This alarm install?? Mind=blown!!! I hadnt undone anything at this stage lol
20141129_103210.jpg

Got rid of some of the sensors, siren wiring, turbo timer and random old bits..much neater already!!
20141129_112111.jpg

And interior loom and main engine loom are removed....tiny bit more to go

Had to remove this loom...so guard off...and a new guard will replace it :)
20141129_121030.jpg

And loom is out finally!!!
20141129_121408.jpg

So bare in the cab now....hopefully Als loom will be soooo much tidier :)
20141129_121418.jpg

The mess of loom under the column is just the old alarm wired into the key barrel...I will be taking this barrel off soon and putting the gd wrx one in its place due to the immobilzer in audm cars....think ill need to hack a bit of the steeri g column cover aswell to fit it
