Cheers bru.....no worries at all :)

So today i realised the Pajero is not only awesome for camping trips etc....but its the perfect service vehicle with the drawers and shizz lol
And with some jerrys of E85 and water in the back seat im set :D

Lots of these tools i never intend to touch at all.....but id rather be prepared if theres something that can be fixed on the spot

And the spare tyres are just that...spare tyres lol

Got the car on the trailer finally aswell

Ended up needing to put my 4x4 maxtrax under the ramps and drive up on them first to get enough clearance for the front lip
Aside from the front tyres on the trailer being at 10psi (aired them up just now) everything is all good and ready for a 6:30am set off in the morning

20150919_163842.jpg

Amazing how driving around with this on the trailer how many people have give props and pulled up for a chat lol

Talked to a truckie at the servo earlier for an hour whilst pumping up the tyres hahaha

Good to hear.
I did quite similar, first in class, chopped a couple of V8's, new PB, got a trophy. Very happy with myself.
Can't wait to get some tyres.

Get many people checking out the car, especially after you had a few runs?

So

Update time!!!

My very first Hillclimb was farking awesome. Had so much fun!!

Was a very early and wet morning when we left.. like near torrential rain :(....was pretty pissed at this stage lol

But pulling off the end of the freeway the rain subsided and we saw some blue sky :D

Rocked up and quickly got the car off the trailer, slapped and taped on the numbers and went in for scrutineering...passed ofcourse!

20150920_081221.jpg
20150920_081337.jpg
20150920_081658.jpg
20150920_085134.jpg

After all that was sorted it was time for the drivers briefing and found out there was 40 competitors for the day and about another 20 who didnt show due to running slicks and the cold wet weather lol

Anyways....first run was a taste test...spun all four off the line lol...then babied it into the first two corners and was amazed with the tyre grip so gave it a bit more poke and ended up with a 67.50 lap....about middle of the pack but super slow lol

In saying that i didnt think id get much faster

I was so wrong!!

Second run i hooked up better off the line and did a 62.48 which put me in to the lead in my class! I was amazed at how good the car felt...and it still felt like i was going pretty slow!!

3rd run...and the warmest part of the day i smashed a 61.36 and blitzed 1st in class easily...yet the car still had another couple seconds in it i reckon without trying much...just need to practice more on the track and commit more to a few of the corners

At this stage the rain came out and lunch was called...afterwards everyones times dropped by at least 1 sec and after watching a race prepped r33 skyline spin off with some speed at the finish line everyone took it a bit easier

But by the time my 4th run came about the sun had come out and dried the track....but as i was waiting at the line it started pissing down lol

I was more then happy with my times and the fact the car was in one piece...so i pretty much idled around getting a bit sideways for a laugh lol, simply not worth tapping a wall or somethibg stupid

After this the rain kept on....so i skipped my last run and packed up and watched the last session

In the end i got 1st in class (trophy is a beer or spirit glass at the next event) and 5th outright in amongst some quick cars and very competent drivers who know this track very well

Screenshot_2015-09-28-11-27-59.png
Screenshot_2015-09-28-11-27-37.png

So all in all...i had a fantastic day!!

Car did everything i asked of it, alignment was perfect as the car just went where it was pointed...big props to Peter at Road2Race in west gosford...such a top bloke and dialled the car in to perfection, tyres had stupid grip and the harness/wheel setup made a massive difference in regards to the control of the car as you hust dont worry about bracing your body at all and can concentrate on driving

Car has tonnes more time in it, like seriously heaps

Only things that i want to rectify are

1: torsen diff is crap when lifting tyres...and the top corners all made the tyres lift at some point and halted forward momentum until the wheel dropped...it sucked when you put your foot down mid corner and it just wasnt there

So i now have an 08+ 2 way plated r180 ready to install ;) and a 20mm adjustable custom superpro swaybar on its way (they have all the old selbys moulds ;)).....the bar should keep the rear down more and the diff will keep power down if it does lift

And

2: on the hard left hand turn a few drops of coolant were coming out my overflow tank lid

Wasnt much of an issue..but im looking in to a deeper tank like the gd ones to prevent the oolant splashing about as much

Aside from this i wont be doing anything aside from the retune with MSR before the next event on the 15th of November

Can not wait!!!

Video will be up soon when i get the time...ended up a bit over exposed due to the settings...but youll get the idea lol
