winning so nothing physically broken other then ignition?

Don't even think the ignition was busted. The barrel was already worn to hell. Could be started with the keys from old car

I had a Toyota like that. You could also take the keys out while the car was running

Weird about the audi haha. I figured the belts are the same. Water pump is just a turbo pump with the oil cooler I'm guessing?

While I'm thinking about it; what's the go on clutches? Basically tossing up between oem replacement exedy or a Sports tuff/HD exedy. Not looking to go drag racing or anything too intensive, track day and twisties at max. Also consider the usual mods and boost increase. Internet info is very conflicting about the limit of the standard replacement gear etc.

From memory exedy do a 20-30% stronger over stock but not HD pedal feel, forget what there called though.

Car Update:

Assessment report was submitted to Shannon's this morning and the shop said assuming it gets approved by Shannons Ill get it back some next week or possibly the start of the week after. Wasnt super happy about that but at least its been taken care of. Forgot to ask the shop what was on the report but rang shannons and asked about it

  • All new locks all around
  • Wash and detail
  • Wheel alignment

for a cost of 1500. Dont think they'll be writing it off based on that amount :D

Need to ring the shop about the wheel alignment and tell them about my camber setup but other than that its a waiting game again

Good to hear this is working out ok. Pretty rare to have a car stolen and returned in only slightly worse condition. Not that anyone hopes for it, but it's certainly the best of a bad situation. Hopefully they can get rid of the stink of cigarettes.

Cheers,
Ben

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

Not even slightly worse really. Exactly the same. Counting my blessings daily

Fucken smokers.....

It was pretty mild but yeah very obnoxious smell as it is. Managed to get it out of the car when I got it although that did involve a carpet swap. Would rather not do that again but better than smoke smell
