I did some investigating into why there was no sound from the headunit. Pulling the drivers door card off explained why. First off theres no tweeters in the oem location at least and no speaker lol. Also theres a bunch of cut wires so im assuming the speakers were cut out. Hiope Ty doesnt want sound in the silver car cos im pinching the speakers :P

Gave the interior a much needed clean out. Now actually looks and feels like a car than a tip. Put all the bits im keeping to put in the boot and gave everything I could get at wtihout removing the seats a good vacuum. Soooooo much tobacco ash and shit under the centre console. Carpets are filthy so theyll be getting pulled out and high pressure washed then dyed bleck once rego'd. Took it round the block for a spin to get the fluids moving through it etc and because i can :P. Car has a lumpy idle so going to give it an UEC to clean out the idle valve at some stage as well. Also has a mad exhaust leak from the headers im assuming, probably cause I put the original gaskets back in lol

Try switching the input and output hoses to the heater core around. Did this to my car after putting a new one in and the noise almost completely disappeared

Had less of a gurgle and the heater still works so its obviously working its way through. Will bleed it eventually. In other news cars booked for an inspection next Monday!

Parking it on a large incline also seems to help with bleeding, although my gen 2 always had the waterfall noise.

Took the car for a Roadworthy inspection today. Few big issues and lots of small things i can fix easily.

  • Top of the list is windshield and exhaust which is leaky and loud.
  • wiper blades
  • indicators tinted
  • blown parker and license plate light
  • too low
  • Split rack boot
  • tie rod boot
  • tiny split in CV boot, bloke said to patch it/Ty said to replace the whole lot ¯\(°_o)/¯
  • Few missing bolts on brackets and shit - wrecker
  • leaking rocker covers, they come from factory leaking but whatever
  • rear window doesnt close
  • Front sway bar links - got GX takeoffs

Big list but most of it is small shit ive got floating around or can get for peanuts at the wreckers

Wow they're pretty detailed inspections down there.

One of the last ones I got, I told the guy that a front inner CV boot was split but I don't think he heard me. He infact made a point of saying that all CV boots looked in great condition when I asked him how the rest of the inspection went...

HAHAHA
