Next time your around Chris, I'll have a shot at getting that dent out of the rim.

What are you swapping over to the B4 from the Heritage?

Looks fantastic :)

Thanks Pete :)

Hi,

Am I off chops, or is there a massive ding in your FR rim?

Cheers,
Nik

It sure is, it was from a pothole on the Calder a few months back, the same pot hole took out a semi trailer and four other cars so I think I got away ok!

Holy shit, I just noticed that too! :o

Aren't these rims only a month old?

Haha, once you see it you can't not see it! And it happened about 4 months ago I think :(

Have you tried getting at it with the ol' rubber mallet?
Also I'm looking forward to pics today! I put it in my calendar

It looks as if Mark will be giving it a go if its still ok with him :)

And I shall post up pics but they are poo so I apologize, better pics soon :)

That would be awesome Mark :) and the coilovers, brake setup, wheels and new exhaust and strut brace once it arrives and I think that's it!

Looks like it was a converted RX. Paint peeling from the door bump strips - Only the B4's had them body colour from factory, and the plain dark grey is showing through on the flaking paint. That and AFAIK, Red was never a colour that was offered in the B4's. Looks like a pretty sound conversion though, even the brakes look like they were upped to the B4 spec. Can check the history by the plates in the engine bay, paint codes and the like. Very much curious if this was a factory delivered vehicle!

Nice, look forward to reading about the build!

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

The car is not from Aus its from Japan and I can assure you I hope its a B4 :)

I'm pretty sure it was factory delivered as it is cause if the released a red legacy gt gen 5, 4 and 2 you think they would have made a gen 3 one :P And I shall check the paint code out next time I go to see the car and if it is the real thing its the first B4 I have ever seen in this color! :-)

great looking car mate. loving the wheels and the look of the rev a-c front bar with a lip and lowered.

Thanks Mitch I have a soft spot for the a-c front bar, I think it has a pretty face with a nice lip and some low and I shall keep you posted!

Hi,

Yes. Hence the cry of nonsense!

Cheers,
Nik

Don't be so sure my friend, we shall have to wait and see and like I said before why would they make a red legacy gt gen 5, 4 and 2 and not a gen 3? But I could be completely wrong! :P

Shouldn't it be an B4 RSK it was from japan and have a L7 grill, not a audm B4 one?

Obviously vin and yellow import plate can confirm the origin but I'm with Ben, from just looking at it in the pics, something seems a bit odd

to be sure you can match the vin using details in the link above. at a quick glance it should also a yellow import plate near the vin plate that looks like this:

you could also check other things that most people don't do when they do conversions such as does it have a rear windscreen wiper or not (JDM models all had the rear wiper, AUDM don't).

HMMMMMM. From that side picture, it looks as if it doesn't have a rear wiper. Difficult to tell.

Welcome to the red family, anyway :)

Mmmm. very interested. Lots of things missing if its JDM...

Whats the writing on the garnish say? If its not the smoke garnish, and says SUBARU, its an ADM garnish. If it says LEGACY, its JDM.
