Very nice!
I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Got in my car this morning and left for work. No speedo hmm okay i can live with this. Was fiddling with the cluster surrounds yesterday so not worried. Pull up at the lights, stalls. Started up fine but now had a rough idle. Did it again 1km down the road. Limped it to work and left it there for the day. Got picked up by the parents as i didnt want it crapping out on Canterbury road at 4pm with crazy traffic. Picked it up just then. Same issue no speedo, rough idle and when I put the clutch in to stop the revs dive for 0 unless i blip the throttle then it bounces between 850 and 950 rpm. It finally threw a ecu code 100m from home so it turns out the idle valve and the speed sensor are faulty which fits the symptoms. Am open to other suggestions though

Prick of a time to happen !
I would clean the IAC first, then see how it runs.

Get that cluster out and check your connections...
As I said. . The iacv error comes up when one of 4 or 5 sensors in the closed loop cruise circuit is faulty. .
Nps, iacv, tps, vss and one other I think..
I had iacv error code for ages and it was my nps so the car constantly thought I was in neutral at 100kmh with 20% throttle. . So it would lose its shit. . I spent heaps of time researching this..
Stalling like that I would presume a vac leak also...
When I had the ej22 in the gx.. I had a split hose.. And pumping the brake pedal would stall the car lol. It was auto but still same principle. . Using the bbooster might be the cause. . Not the clutch in thing.. As in when you stop you have the brake pedal going on. . Vollia.. stall
Test those things like I said. . No afm connected will usually remedy a vac leak.. But the car runs rich as anything. .

Checked all the cluster connections still have issues so im ruling that out. Unplugged the maf and it still idles rough so that should rule out a vacuum issue? Pumping the brakes also had no affect on the idle

Pulled the idle valve out today. It was blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack and so were the hoses. Gave it all a good clean. It idles better but still have a CEL for it. Should probably try resetting the ECU i spose
