Are you doing something different with the paint or keeping it a stock colour?
Cheers

Sounds like it's going to be real road hugging animal! Are you doing something different with the paint or keeping it a stock colour?CheersBennie

Drove it 10km to the paint shop to get a quote....and its going back in the morning

Very rough...as i expected lol
Solid centre clutch will take a bit of getting used to for sure
Clutch is really high of engagement and causes some horrible shudders if not done properly....i adjusted the freeplay to bring the engagement closer to the floor...but after thw drive its back up high again?
Wtf?
Think i may just need to bite the bullet and get a new master and slave and be done with it

Ps it looks so cool...even with all the mismatched panels lol

Such an awesome feeling man!
Good to hear it didn't blow up on its maiden voyage :-D
yep very good feeling lol...aside from the clutch issue
Tried that...normally itd go to the floor though...it was rock hardMay need to bleed the clutch again.
Called Al (my subaru call a friend pick every time lol) and also kris at rising sun and i have a new path to follow...ie a makeshift gd spec c master

Details to follow if it works

Slave just would not pressurize? I cleared all air bubbles though in a slow fashion
Then after over 3 hours of removing and bleeding and pulling vacuum and everything possible it started to pull in fluid ju st as i gave up lol...pumped it for like 5 minutes after this and it heaps better!!!
Need to fiddle with the clevis for pedal free play in a few days....but atm its awesome!!
Still shudders ard if downshufting to 2nd with a rev match/heel toe....gotta get my skillz back again as i drive a slush box daily lol
But pretty much all i did was create my own gd spec c single line master from a gd wrx multiple line (ones with all the extra pipework)
They are all the same master cylinder...all you do is remove all the pipework except the one coming out the very tip as thats your feed to the slave....or in my case use the rs pipe with a bit of bending to suit which saved me a bit of time
To get this

remove all this

bench bleed it to clean it

and bolt it up...and bend the pipework to suit

That nipple does nothing now...its connected to the threaded hole under it...just clean them out and leave them empty

Its now matched to the right slave...where the rs master wasnt the correct match in bore size
Picckup is still around the 3/4 mark...but its better and more predictable then engaging in the last 3mm :/
So ill probably give it one more bleed tomorrow and its all good to go to paint

And in case yous were wondering it is a rough old ride..with the lope on idle rocking the car around and you can hear everything....really need to put that sti muffler on asap to shut it up a bit lol

Pffft still not done yet
This things going to be so awesome when done.
I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;
"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

Haha i passed out beer in hand at 9pm watching new GoT lolGo to bed
In other news car is off to paint in a bitsa state....i removed all trim for the roof etc, no door handles, no spoiler light, bits only just held on, different colour panels, dented and hand bent/rolled front guards thatll be tossed when it comes back
Should look a bit better on return though

handles so good too...even though the alignment is waaaaaayyyy out hahaha
And the clutch is now tonnes better! Still driver error causing it to shudder on down changes if youre a bit lazy...but i did a few good ones to know what im doing...ie it likes to rev match with a solid centre, but driving nothing but autos for 2 years i need some practice lol

but....
Whilst i have the space, im going to do a little bit of painting myself

everything here will be getting a wash, sand back and smooth and coated in a decent rattle can satin black
Will leave the rusty mud spats brackets bare until powdercoating and send them off with the rest of the bits going for satin black powder

Even the bits that needed modding only required a tiny adjustment to suit

better door handles, a pillar trim, inner guards, steering column cover and some nice rs guards in that awesome 222 colour
Done an amazing job of packaging it and everything is perfect

And the guards have the rare bubbled rs logo which is noice

all will be going on as soon as the car is back along with a whole host of bits
Smiles all around
