I think so actually......2 months to get the exhaust finished, bodywork colour coded and tune sorted......yeah im hopeful pending work :)

So the wrap is going? I was loving it personally. Cant wait to see/hear it run on a power tune, run in was loud and fast enough in the old body haha

And in other news....

Scored a 2nd hand...untouched invidia q300 catback for a gd sti and will have a mobile welder cone look at it tomorrow to mod to suit the rs....and if all good it will go on next weekend :D

All fits perfect everywhere...except need chopping and flanging to fit the xforce cat position....and need the muffler extended out about 2 inches.....so excited!!

will paint it all black once its finished...though will probably keep the tip chrome?

Also...FINALLY! Got my 170mm project mu handbrake pads after waiting 4 months due to getting delivered the 190mm ones :(

So they will go on soonish for super fun happy slides! lol

Bodywork should be done in the next two to three weeks, which will let me finish putting the custom trimmed manual winder door trims in...then off for 20% tints and a decent alignment to top it all off

Then ill have a month to shake it down and get an e85 tune before HVC!

To say im stoked to see it where it is atm is such an understatement...its been such a long time coming lol

Slowly ticking off the little bits and pieces whilst i wait for the exhaust which is being looked at today to do the work next weekend.... and body work which will happen once the exhaust is done

Bits like.......

Tidying up the panels that are complete and not being touched

Trying to determine what is going away for powdercoating after all the body work

Cleaning up the dodgy as fork hack job done on the front bumper for the fmic...dude had no idea what a straight line is lol

Going to pick up my rs sticker pack from seanoz on rslc

Made up a quick parcel shelf, carpeting it on the cheap and painting the vent bleck

Removing as much of the old tint as i can whilst waiting for new stuff...leaving the rear window for the pros as its farked lol

Refitting the side mirrors

removing lots of trim ready for some bodywork

Tie wiring the turbo blanket back on

And lots of other tiny little things :D

The to do list is looking a bit empty now...which is fricken awesome!

5 min parcel shelf

Cheers mark

Mine was all snapped up....so i cut up a new one with similar wood using mine taped together as a template

should have left the speaker holes out as im not gonna have any there...but meh atleast if i want some later all i need to do is cut the carpet

And just glued on some bunnings spec black car/runner carpet :)

The vent was a horribly tarnished grey...so a bit of a sand and some flat black and its good to go

Took more time to wait for the glue to go tacky then it did cutting the wood to size

It did lol....but sounds better with the invidia muffler on :)

GD system fit like a glove though...just needed cutting and flanging up at the dump and some hanger work and extending at the muffler....very time consuming since it was done in tig...but very glad its done now!

May be a touch too loud...but ill know once its all bolted up properly and a bit more sooted up

I will be getting the diffback modded with a flange to be able to bolt the sti muffler on aswell for daily driving etc...but want it tuned with the straight through invidia muffler as thats what ill use on trackdays/hillclimbs etc

Big day today hopefully!

Only had 2 hrs sleep in the past 44hrs due to work, OT and the exhaust welding

But i need to remove the temporary gaskets and bolts off the exhaust and put good crush gaskets on with some 3 bond and new hi-tensile bolts

Then wind the coilovers up about 3/4 of an inch for the time being until all the paints done...then ill set the height properly and get an alignment

Put my temporary front guards on, bolt up the front and rear bumpers enough to hold them on until paint

Polish the bonnet up to see how badly it needs a touch up

Cable tie some wiring outta the way for the drive to paint

And finally check the tension on the important nuts and bolts so it doesnt fall apart on the drive

So if i get all that done its going for its first drive since the conversion...then off to paint for a week

So much excite!!

Also.....

Need more caffeine!!
