Could only source a suretrac (i think..will open it up and check) for the time being...was chasing a 2 way plated but alas they are few and far between it seems

Suretrac will still be fun and make you poo your pants.

2ways are super rare, as thats whats used in motorsports.

For all intents and purposes, I think they're rad.

Zero maintenance.

Only issue is when you have wheel lift off.

And how often to you intend of lifting a wheel off?

Could be problematic with steep driveways?

I survived with my suretrac R180 and mum's driveway rather well.

I lifted wheels lots on driveways in the gen3...but manual lock the centre diff and it drove right out of it ;)

So back to MSR this morning to finish off my tune, end up getting almost a full tank through the car before it aswell so the 98 should be well and truly diluted out of the system :)

Mick played around with it for a couple hours whilst also dealing with another customers headgasket issue and what he pulled out of the old girl surprised us both!

He played with the cruise and idle afr's..setting them leaner to add economy...quoted 10l/100km....we will see lol, and also messed with the idle to smooth it out which seems to have worked wonders

But the power run is what we are all here for, and aside from a few breakdown issues still that have been sourced back to a drop in voltage to 12.8v up high..ie bad alternator it made the power well! He quoted 230 to 235 ;)

240.5kw at the wheels.....feels nuts to drive! And its all still down fairly low in the rev range so no need to ring its neck, should make a lot more and for a lot longer with a bigger turbo as the 34 runs outta puff up top. But that does not bother me one bit as this car is forking quick now!!

20150528_121000.jpg

so next on the list is to source a new alternator and see if that fixes it, though he said ill probably never feel the breakdown on the road...its just the dyno puts so much load on the car and it highlights it

Now to install and paint my lip, rough detail and wash, raise the car a tad, alignment tomorrow and im ready for HVC 2015!!

Haha itll never be a black hole generating 20psi gen3 though!

And in other news....

My new front RS lip has finally been installed! No more stressing about the missus stepping on it in the spare room lol

Was gonna fit it...then remove and respray it. .....but....it was a biatch to fit so i cbf removing it and just taped the front end up and sprayed it on the car...like a boss :)

20150528_164011.jpg
20150528_163953.jpg

and finally bumped up the rear coilovers and "modified" a part that the tyre was scrapping out on....bit of hammer..bit of cutting...bit of cable tie = done, i hope!
