More pics of the fun today....lunch now, but will get the tie rod ends on to the new set up and start rolling the guards

New rack feels smooth as! And the shorter ratio is awesome...good to have a quickrack again like the gen3 :)

Next on my research list is fuel surge fixes

Not that ive had any...yet....as the tanks always been above 3/4 lately

But im gonna diy an anti surge box to fit on the pump intake..much like the sti spec c ones

And another mod im looking at is putting an inline pump in the line from the passenger side of the tank to the pump side

Oem uses a "jet" pump...a venturi pretty much that is crap and almost useless

So ill delete the jet part and have the pump running continously pumping the passenger side over to the pump side and into the anti surge box

Ive heard nothing but good things about it...and with either a relay off the pump supply or a switched relay to only run it when needed i think itll do nothing but help the shitty tank design without needing to move to a surge tank yet

Yep theyre pretty damn meaty!! The bearings are massive compared to the standard rs ones lol

6 gun did an awesome job of modding the hubs to fit all the early stuff...everything just slotted together perfectly

Found out the gd sti swaybar wont fit as it hits on the dent for the up pipe...despite hearing i could.....but the aftermarket swaybars are straight where it hits

So at a later date ill grab a whiteline bar for a gd and fit it up

In the meantime im putting the rs 18mm back on but will be adding 2mm to 3mm off washers to wach end of the seaybar links to space it out properly and keep the links at the right angle

Could always do what whoever installed the NA whiteline 22mm front sway on mine did and just smack the subframe where it hits...

So its all in....took a lot longer than i had expected...mainly as i had to redo stuff over and over again :(

Got fairly over it this arvo hahaha

Found out that the new arms have added castor in them...so with the free castor mod and the ALK i fitted a rim and it was jammed hard up against the bumper?!

Removed the free castor mod....still way too close

Tweaked the alk back and it still hit

Removed the alk and fitted the sti bushes that came with the arms...they are crazy solid?! Maybe these were spec c arms?

After all this it was perfect....a touch more caster than i had with the gc8 arms and the other mods...b it doesnt hit the bumper any more :)

New track fills the guards so well now! Going in for an alignment in the morning, but even with a rough eye and tape measure alignment i have no scrubbing so far :D

New rack feels so good! Bit heavy at carpark speeds...same as the gc8 quickrack i had was..but becomes perfect at speed

Even though i centred the rack i ended up with more lock to the left...about 1/8 of a turn on the steering wheel

After yanking the steering wheel off and moving it a few notches it is now spot on and much better

Also after having more than enough of cars fo the weekend...i decided to bump the rear coilovers up 4 turns lol

Im done now....no more!!!

For a few days atleast lol

Only one pic atm...more later
