WTF? That's a deal breaker.

I would of done what Todd Carney would of done - pissed in my own mouth and spat it on him.

Big day today.....sooooo tired, been up for 33hrs and spent most of today on the halfcut and driving around getting bits

Gotta thank Robert for going out of his way to grab me a cheap engine stand! Cheers brother!!!

So got the new engine stand home and spent a bit putting it together, than started rigging up the wrecks engine and it was ready to lift

With a bit of support from the floor jack on the tranny and a bit of wiggling thw engine was free!! Then uses my brand new Impactor to remove the clutch and flywheel before getting her onto the engine stand...was a bit fiddly but sorted it out pretty quickly :)

Front cut looks empty now...now onto the loom!!

So I quickly tore the turbo and killer b headers off the new engine and sent them off with the xforce dump pipe for ceramic coating (due back next week)...then pulled all the plugs and had a look see and all visually looks good...it almost did look like the headers had a layerof paint on the inside that had cchipped away...never seen it before....definitely wasnt soot..bit apparently they werent coated ever?

Also stopped into subaru to get a heap of new gaskets and bits and to prospeed for a new bigger dw300 fuel pump, fumoto drain valve and a magnetic drain valve as the killer b sump has two drain holes

This is pretty much where I stand now....will do the sump over the next week and install the new avo silicone intake..then piece the engine back together and tuck it away ready for install into the RS

Yeah I know they were never coated...but if thats so I have never seen this stuff happen before...it looked lile and flaked off like paint...and was even bubbled up in parts?

Theyre getting blasted as we speak and will be coated outside only so see if it comes back later on in its life

And yeah dude im pretty excited to hear and see it going...long way off yet...but all in good time :)
