New Rims... Help me!

Ladies and Gentlemen. I need some help (and yes, I need other kinds of help too, but thats not the sort you guys can help with lol)

Minister for finance has approved a new set of rims... So. Help me choose!

 

Rules:

Must fit on a B4, with the stock struts and guards (so no wildly keen widths).

Said B4 also has brembos, so you know the drill.

Must be within 2k price range. Ok, so you can probably deviate from this a bit, but not too much...I'm still midway through a house renovation.

 

Really want a set of the S401 wheels, but they are about 3500 without postage from japan...

Been looking at the CS9 wheels, and also the Tuned by STi wheels too. Even the CR Kai's, although I would probably plastidip them Black...

 

They are the ones I've been looking at, throw us some more ideas!

CS9's will not fit Brembos unless you fit spacers, 10mm I think.

B4 is 5x100

Id say cr kai..I loved mine (see them on my old car..grants new car)

But I love the early tb sti rims...like alex had on his gtb...they are porn!!

Haha, I have the gold set of GDB's on now. They are getting old and paint is chipped quite badly on the rears. Plus the blue and gold look is getting old, hence the plastidipping idea of the CR Kai's.
Yes, B4 so 5x100. Pity really, there are some really nice 114.3 STi wheels.

 

Mmmm. I dont mind the SSR's but they will be plastidipped as soon as I get them.

 

Bugga, the prodrives need guard rolling - and if the GC chassis needs it, guarantee the B4 will.

17's or 18's? Does that 2K include tyres or rims only?

 

For 2K you have unlimited options for s/h rims from Japan. RE30's, Advans, etc. CR Kai's will be about $600 as theyre abundant..

 

What style are you after?

CRUISN, I think I need to employ you to mind me cheap wheels that I can make profit on here... :)
Where the hell can you find a set that cheap? Can get them on IM for about 1k, but postage brings that up substantially.

Bugga about the CS9s, they would have been a nice wheel if they fitted.

 

Looking at 18s, but dont mind 17s either. Would prefer with rubber, but not necessary. Especially the 17's, have near new rubber on the gold wheels I have, so could get them switched.

Main reason I'm looking at 18s over 17s is the wheel weight is about 1.5mm off the caliper as it spins. Thats a little close.

 

Have sent an email to japanparts regarding a brand new set of charcoal TB STi 18's, with current exchange rates they are ~1700 brand new. Postage will be more of course.

Will the SSR 17x8 +36 fit the brembos and struts on the B4? Anyone confirm that? Dont want to spend 1600 bucks on a set of rims that dont fit...
