Ever since changing the AFM in mine it runs perfect, here is the last learning view I ran. A Tactrix Openport 2.0 is well worth getting if you don't have one so you can see how its running.

Ah ok. I thought that was just a window within a program. My bad. Is it free?

AFAIK, Learning view doesn't support the JECS ECU I have.
Am sourcing a VAG-COM cable (with the correct chipset) and will be hoping to monitor IAM and fine knock correction with freeSSM.
oh - and I'm not too keen on running ethanol in my fuel -- it was shit with the EJ25. A chemist at work reckons its just an opportunity to have more water in the fuel and increase margins. I don't disagree with him.

I'm keen to see how this works out.
I hope it works!!

Mad. I'm gonna get it. Cheers mate. I've got a brand new unused Tactrix Openport 2.0 (I'll be selling it soon enough).

Was digging through some old photos tonight..
Outback in its natural surroundings. If you ever get the chance, take the Barry Way out the back of Jindabyne through to Victoria via the Snowy.
this day up the Wollemi was as hot as satan's arsehole. I think it was still 38C at about 10pm and the place was filled with brain-destroying cicadas who were screaming out for some lovin' all night.
What we were doing out camping I don't know.

The problem with HIDs is they make your other lights look like an Andres Serrano sculpture.
one LED parker installed. Also did all the interior (map and ceiling lights).
Doesn't look so bad here.. .but its worse in real life (dodgy camera phone)
LED bulbs were cheap from fleabay, but a bit dodgy. I had to solder-blob the parker bulb contacts to get them high enough for a good fit.
I nice (unintended) side effect is that the turn-light is much less obvious than it was.

With profuse apologies to Marv.
The 1k primer will have to come off for a proper spray anyway.
I'm not a big fan of the black bonnet look, but I think its not too bad with the dark green. Will give it a sand and buff in a few days.
I fully expect this to look like a leprosy victim within a year.

I pays to poke around after a conversion. Found a couple of spots rubbing at the back of the TMIC.
Wiper motor wiring:
and some maintenance.

Cable tie around the valve is good piece of mind for me.
Great things ill be actually using mine for the first time next service.

I'll go one better. Bit hard to see, but there's a spring-ring hose clamp around the top.
Posted 02 August 2014 - 06:26 PM
Well that will also do the job quite well haha.

Fumoto win!
I've never had any troubles with mine without a cable tie.
