When its screwed in, the lever is on top and facing backwards, so you'd have to do something really odd like reverse over a stick poking up to flip it open.

$8 Chinese VAG-COM cable working with FreeSSM.
Doesn't read as much as I hoped it might (eg: ignition correction etc, which I presume is in RAM or flash)

boosting like poo this arvo (ie: not).
Got home and found a vac line popped off - suspect the 4mm silicone line may be a bit slippery for those three manifold takeoffs.

i would clamp, clip & cable tie every hose mate. 4mm ID hose is too big and only suitable for tuned TT's, according to the lads on UK Legacy.com

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.
MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

Yeah 3.5mm.
4mm will be ok IMO if you secure the lines onto the nipples. Also, I've heard the pills can get blown out of position using 4mm so cable tie them in place for peace of mind.
I think that the 0.5 mm difference wouldn't really affect performance much if at all.... but then again, if a slight hose leak can affect performance in a big way, maybe the extra volume inside the 4mm vac line is enough to change the activation range/time of the components. I don't know, but we are talking about a very small change in hose capacity.... maybe it IS enough to affect things.
Mine are 3mm & the best thing about them is I don't need to secure any hoses to nipples. 3mm fit on real tight and are bloody hard to remove once on.
4mm..... chances are they might leak under load..... or pop off like Dunc's.
Apart from that hose coming off, it runs fine normally doesn't it Dunc?

HEL?
yars. HEL - bolted up as quickly as possible whilst brake fluid pissed out all over me.
pils - meh. Does it matter where in the line they are? As long as they don't blow out the end if a hose pops off, its all good.
Yeh - its running pretty well. No CELS, have put about 800km's on it without anything more serious than a weeping bottom radiator hose due to a too-narrow hose clamp (now replaced).
Fuel consumption is pretty shit around town, though: about 15l/100km.
VOD is - um, noticeable. I think I need to get used to it, then fiddle with the ECV adjustment a little to see if I can eek out some improvements.

Boost gauge installed.
Stealth mode
Aha.. there you are.
Not entirely happy with the lighting. Not really the 'right' green. But then again, neither is the head unit.
Haven't given it a poke yet to find out what boost I'm running. Just a toddle up to the local shops said 10psi on primary at about 2k rpm.
Here's the cubby in the middle of its sex change.

Nice work. 10psi is about right, a little under 0.8bar. In super saiyan mode should see about 1 bar. Fluctuates a bit on how heavy you are on the welly. In 3rd gear if you really press it in you can get 15psi on primary then about 16/17 psi on full swing.
