so yesterday i got busy.

took out the old grey and dirty carpet and put in the black carpet I've had lying downstairs for ages that i got off dan. It's from a newer revision.

this of course required taking out the seats and all the door trim pieces.

comparison of new vs old.

So much better now.
That basically finishes my transition from the first revision interior to that of the D/E.

Only one last thing remains and that's the drivers door card. I couldn't manage to disconnect the large window switch board. The harness is an absolute bitch. Parts even broke on it but it still didn't disconnect. And because it's large I couldn't simply turn it sideways and slip it out, like is possible with the passenger window switches.. I'll give it another go shortly...

The front seats could also be swapped for newer ones, but only if they pop up cheaply somewhere, alternatively I'll just put covers back on.

Also I found a small fortune in coinage under the carpet haha

And i have of course taken off the roof racks :D

And additionally, Shazza should be installing tinting on Saturday!

Looks so much better!

The clip is actually pretty easy to undo. Just get a little flat head screw driver in there and it just pops straight off.

Go 15% tint :P

Yeah, so much better. My task now is to keep the inside as clean as possible as I'm always carting around clothes, parts, food, rubbish, etc lol.

JC, I tried using a screwdriver but as I said, parts broke.. Other plastic bits bent and therefore wasn't offering any leverage :(

Haha, naw, I'll stick with 20% :)

Oh yes of course! I should have mentioned that lol.

Either upgrade to the darker woodgrain from newer revisions, or paint the current black?

Interesting, what do they look like?
Do outback seats have different patterns/colours to liberty ones?

If you want the back seats let me know, they're yours free. They match the door cards you have
