Taken apart, de-badged, removed lock and have sanded it down..

Also stripped my boot. wiring up a better earth to chassis point but mainly wanted to re-arrange everything.

I want to mount my amp on the rear of the back seat. But im having some massive difficulty taking out the carpet covered plastic trim that you can see in the photo below. Need to mount a bracket in there. Then the sub would sit next to it, and the amp wouldn't be on the ground taking up room, plus it'd look tidy.

So that's your handi work Adam with acrylic and a gun? SHINEY.

Well I don't have massive expectations really.

Is there a massive difference between 'satin' black and 'gloss'? Cos i got a barely used satin can, dunno if i should bother buying a gloss if i chose to go with cans..?

Yeah it is, with lots of cutting and polishing :D

Satin won't have any shine. You will need at least a few cans to cover the whole boot properly.

Just had a thought, a paint shop might be able to mix up some black paint in a pressure pack that might be a bit better suited to automotive needs!

Spray that on, then cut and polish. Might come up pretty well!

Supercheap might even sell some??? I don't know! (I've had more time to think about it haha)

Sweeet I'll look around, hopefully find something. if not, 2 cans of gloss paint will be my go :) If i run out ill just use the satin on the visible areas of the underside of it

good work great to see the boot going to good use cant wait to see it on

Yeah im lookin forward to it :) thanks so much for it! but unfortunately it'll look weird for a while until i can do something about the boot..
Also, any word on your mate and sprayin my wheels? :D .......just had a thought, perhaps he could do the boot as well lol. If he's willing, just tell me how much extra the boot would cost on top! :)
Cheers Dan,
Dan

May I suggest wrapping both the bonnet and boot with vinyl wrap?

Shazza can help you out there

Yeah I thought of that and chucked my amp up against there but im pretty sure it was too big to fit there. Ill have to check again. And did you do that on the jack compartment side or the opposite??

It is a great idea to frame it how you've done it!

I managed to get a foam insert from an impreza that sat in the spare to hold the jack/tools. Ive actually salvaged it from the lib if you need it

that is cool indeed.
Well only if you aren't using it? Or are you after some reimbursement for it?

OH AND BY THE WAY

MY CAR WONT START. lol.

fcuks sake i just came home from tafe to have lunch as im staying really close to it at my uncles.. 30mins later i come outside and she wont start

Watch this quick vid:

(NO idea where the visuals went lol!)

So, electrics all work in the car, just makes that sound when i try to turn it on. Any thoughts?

My thought is somethings screwed with the starter motor cos it doesn't even turn!

(FUCKKKKKKKKK)

Do u think i should be reimbursemed? lol

Checked all your connections? Battery? Starter? Fuses? If they are all fine, do as adam said or try bridging the terminals on the start with a screwdriver to try n start it..

This is proving no good... battery is all fine as electrics work. I left it alone for a while after jiggling every chord i could see (lol) hoping that it might work for some unknowns but no success. When i started it up leaving tafe, it started with no worries whatsoever, i didnt run through any puddles on the way home (had run through some at 8 in the morn, but not overly large ones), which should rule out water damage to something, I'd assume?

And to be honest with you, I'm not very mechanical savvy i can't differentiate between whats what with some things.. As for fuses, Ive checked some but ill have a read through the manual to find out what the abbreviations on some fuses mean. IE, KVB or something, and etc..

And with that screwdriver thingy I've watched a mate do it before but i cant remember the whole deal with it.. care to run me through it a tad please? :)

Cheers :)
