So did the friggen broken lip up again to fit today. Included one screw to hold it on and a couple of zip tie things (can't think of the other name right now :dash2: ) It sits very snug around the bar after cutting it to shape with a jigsaw.

It looks OK but definately looked better underneath as i had it before, but i was a tad too low and broke on two occasions lol..
But hopefully once the car is lowered and my rims are back on it'll look good.

Should have new struts in on Wednesday morn, booked in, if all goes to plan.

And wheels are ....coming along. Hopefully, hopefully hopefully they're looking at least half decent by the cruise day! :scratch_one-s_head:

Ok guys need some help.

Ive been doing my wheels for a while now as you all may know.

So Dan from down the coast (motoboy) told me to use some killrust, i thought this was just a precursor to the topcoat to use as a rust fighting agent but looking at the one can when i got home i saw its actually a topcoat itself. I was like sweet, this will look good hopefully, but im gonna need more cans later..

Did a coat.

Looked like this:

Looked fuking sweet, really nice shine and colour, right?

Was all in a good mood cos id have em ready for saturday, too!

So, needed to do another coat cos ya gotta and because as i realised this morning, id missed fractional areas as i was doing it in shit lighting conditions.

But problem was i only had that one can which i used up yesty.

So i went to the shops to grab some more. Some fukwit (he's an arrogant impolite arsehole) who owns this store in St Mary's didnt have the killrust, had rust guard,

Wait, here's a picture of the two products
Posted Image

But i said I'd prefer to keep to the same product...

Went to bunnings in Mt Druitt lol. All they had was the Rust guard also. Talked to the paints specialist dude and he said the products are exactly the same, etc etc.

So bought two cans. This is how it turned out after i cleaned the surface with a microfibre cloth to get off any stray hairs and dust.

Did a nice light coat, just like i did yesterday, plus an initial wetting spray to begin with, and look how it fukin turned out:

Words can't describe how pissed i am at this shit. looks like a 100 year old granny left her skin all over it or some shit.

These pics dont even show how bad it actually is!!!!!

Now was it me who did something wrong or is this rust guard complete shit??

I asked dan if he too waited overnight before doing a second coat when he did his wheels a while ago, using only killrust and he said yeah. His didnt turn out like this!?

Brand new, literally took it out of the packet and then used it. didnt even touch the surface i used to clean with. And i even didnt do a thorough job with the cloth, just flat faces where dust was most likely to have built up..

and i didnt use any other cleaning product before or after the cloth

Wierd, paints possibly aren't compatible then! Which sucks considering you got told otherwise!

Did that happen straight away or as the paint dried?

Well not straight away, but before it dried. It happened in id guess 5-6 mins, well in the time i took to paint 3, i turned back to the first and saw it!

Im not sure, cant find anything on the cans. But both have similar drying times. Killrust has 4-6hrs touch dry and 16hrs recoat. Rust Guard has 6-8hrs touch, 16hrs recoat. So that would point to them being of the same make up I'd guess?

They are both Epoxy Enamels

Probably going to have to sand it back! There's no way to really fix it I don't think.

Also go and throw the empty cans at the "paint specialist" at bunnings.
